Jewish London is horrified by the antisemitic terrorist shooting in Australia.

The safety of our community is the top priority for Jewish London and our security initiatives are on full alert for the Chanukah celebrations happening this week, working with LPS and all our security partners.

We mourn those killed in this horrific shooting, send our comforts to their families, and wish a speedy and full recovery to the injured.

Our community will never retreat in the face of hatred, and will never refrain from carrying on our Jewish traditions. Rather, we will use every tool at our disposal to make sure our communities are safe and that our lights burn all the brighter.

Temple Israel is proud to announce that Rabbi Dressler has been selected for the Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship. This Fellowship is an 18-month, one-of-a-kind learning opportunity created and sponsored by 18Doors - the national organization laser-focused on empowering people in interfaith relationships and encouraging Jewish communities to welcome them. 18Doors meets people "where they're at" - they recognize that there's no "one size fits all" approach to anyone on their personal journey or to any couple on their journey together.

Rabbi Dressler is part of Cohort 5 of the Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship. It has twenty rabbis from across North America. The new fellows are diverse not just in respect to the schools they attended and the denominations they are now part of — they also have diverse personal experiences (some are part of interfaith families themselves, while others aren’t) as well as differing views when it comes to interfaith inclusion. What they share is a desire to explore and wrestle with how they and their communities can be more inclusive of people in interfaith relationships. They will surely learn not just with, but also from each other as they seek to accomplish this goal.
