This is great news!
I’m pleased to tell you that Bos African Store (908 Oxford St) is approved to accept Harvest Bucks vouchers. Bos African Store is a community grocery store that sells a small amount of fresh vegetables year round (e.g., plantain, yams) and partners with about 6 local farms during the summer to sell additional produce. In addition, they sell dried beans year round, as well as other grocery and toiletry items not purchasable with Harvest Bucks vouchers.

Please visit the Harvest Bucks webpage (link below) for updated resources, including the map of approved businesses and the participant letter.

There are some mornings that start with a heavy heart, and others that end with an overwhelming sense of peace. This morning was one of those and we couldn’t be happier to share why.
We were absolutely delighted to see Sarah and Mike this morning. Like many of you, our thoughts have been with them recently, and seeing them walk up the laneway with smiles on their faces was the best news we could have asked for.
Most importantly, we were deeply relieved to hear the update regarding their recent situation: everyone is safe and sound, and thankfully, there was no damage to their home or belongings. In moments where things could have gone differently, hearing that they came through completely unscathed is a true blessing.
It is a gentle reminder to hold our loved ones close and cherish the moments of safety and security we often take for granted. We are breathing a collective sigh of relief today, and we join Sarah and Mike in saying, "Thanks be to God."

Sarah and Mike have long been cherished, active members of our church family. After years of working incredibly hard to relocate to a new, safer home, it is heartbreaking to share that they were directly impacted by last night’s storm. When the roof of their apartment building was torn off, their unit took the brunt of the damage. We are currently trying to make contact with them to ensure their safety and offer our support. If you are in communication with Sarah or Mike, please let them know that their church family is actively looking for them and is ready to stand by their side. Please keep them in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
