69 children in the London Community had a service/volunteer day, making a difference for 5 different initiatives. 16 blankets tied for My Very Own Blanket, 94 dry soup mixes made for compassionate service, a dry cookie mix for each child to take home to bake and doorbell dash, 95 shoes collected and cleaned for Soles for Soles and 200+ lunches delivered to Ark Aid.
The children volunteers ranged from ages 4-11 and the service needs for My Very Own Blanket and Soles for Soles found through JustServe! Children show us that service doesn’t require perfection or recognition—just a willing heart—and in learning to give as freely and sincerely as they do, we become not only better helpers, but better people.
