๐ŸŒฟ Join Us This Sunday! ๐ŸŒฟ

This Sunday, June 7, we gather to celebrate the Second Sunday after Pentecost with Holy Communion (BCP) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, 34 Shore Road, Brooklyn.

Together, we will hear the stories of God's call and faithfulness through readings from Genesis, Romans, the Psalms, and Matthew's Gospel. Whether you are a regular worshipper, a visitor, or simply curious, you are warmly welcome.

๐Ÿฅช Stay after the service for a light sandwich luncheon as we celebrate and thank Craig for his years of faithful service in Lay Ministry as he enters retirement. This will be a wonderful opportunity to share memories, offer good wishes, and enjoy fellowship together.

There is always room at the tableโ€”and we'd love to see you there!

Many thanks to all who attended the Appreciative Inquiry session on May 22nd, and who brought dishes to share for our potluck. There were 29 people who shared their thoughts, values and ideas as we Shape our Future by remembering what we loved and cared about church, and what is important to focus on as we move forward. All of the data collected was submitted to Rev. Canon Lisa Vaughn, who will send a report on our work. For those who were not able to attend, there are some extra copies of our workshop discussion sheets that can be filled out and given to Rev. Ruth, who will submit these to Rev. Lisa also. These will be available for the next two weeks. All are encouraged to have their voices heard.

Evening Prayer for Our Consolidation Journey

All are invited to join us for Evening Prayer on Wednesday, June 3, at 5:30 p.m. as we gather to pray for our parish during this time of consolidation and discernment.

Following the Appreciative Inquiry gathering held on May 22, this service offers an opportunity to bring before God the challenges and opportunities we face, our feelings about change, grief and anticipated loss, our hopes and joys, and our desire to faithfully follow Christ's call.

Together, we will pray for one another, for each church within our parish, for the parish as a whole, and for the communities we are called to serve. Whether you come seeking comfort, guidance, or simply a time of quiet prayer, all are warmly welcome.

๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and performed at the Mothers' Union Spring Concert! ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽถ
What a wonderful evening of music, laughter, community, and the occasional note that may have wandered off on its own adventure! ๐Ÿ˜„
We are incredibly grateful to our talented performers who shared their gifts and to every audience member who came out to support this special event. Thanks to your generosity, we are well on our way to purchasing new large-print hymn books for the residents of Queens Manor and for the seniors who will soon call The Neighbourhoods of Dogwood Lane home when it opens in Liverpool.
Music has a remarkable way of lifting spirits, stirring memories, encouraging singing along (whether on key or not!), and bringing people together. For many seniors, a familiar hymn can open the door to treasured memories and moments of joy.
Your support is helping ensure that more seniors can continue to enjoy the comfort, connection, and happiness that music brings.
From the bottom of our hearts and with a few lingering tunes still stuck in our heads, thank you for making our Spring Concert such a success! ๐ŸŽตโค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“–โœจ Wondering what's happening with our Parish Consolidation Process?
We want everyone to stay informed as we work together to shape the future of our church community. A special Consolidation Process Binder is available and will be updated regularly as new information becomes available and decisions are made.
Youโ€™ll find the binder at the back of the church building, where worship is being held each Sunday as we rotate between our churches. Feel free to browse it, catch up on the latest developments, and see the exciting work underway.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Have questions? Ideas? Concerns? Rev. Ruth warmly welcomes conversations and would be delighted to hear from you.
๐Ÿ“… Special parish meetings will be called as needed over the coming months, so stay tuned for updates.
This journey belongs to all of us. Thank you for your prayers, participation, and commitment as we discern God's vision for our future together.
