This Sunday we kicked off our new series on Hospitality by exploring a powerful truth: we serve a hospitable God.
From the Garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem, the story of Scripture is the story of God making room for people. Before humanity ever knew what it needed, God provided. Even after sin fractured our relationship with Him, God continued to pursue, welcome, and invite us back into fellowship with Himself.
Through Israel, through Jesus, and now through His Church, God has been opening His arms to people who have wandered far from Him. Jesus is the ultimate expression of God's hospitality—the One who left heaven, made room for sinners at His table, and opened the way for us to come home.
As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect that same welcome to others.
"Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you." (Romans 15:7)
Hospitality is more than sharing a meal or being friendly. It's a living picture of the Gospel. Every time we make room for someone, open our homes, share our tables, or extend kindness, we reflect the heart of a God who first welcomed us.
The door home is still open through Jesus—and we have the privilege of helping others see it.
