Good Morning Church Family, Friends and Visitors!!
Today is Pentecost Sunday. The day of Pentecost is the day on which God’s Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles.
"On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability." Acts 2: 1-4
And then Peter preached.
"Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. " Acts 2:41
Today is a Happy Birthday to the Christian Church!!!
And we pray that you have believed what Peter preached, Jesus Christ. And if you have not then we hope you will take a fresh look.

Thank you to Scotiabank and their annual Christmas Turkey Drive!! We were a bit tardy in picking up the last portion of the fundraiser that comes directly from Scotiabank. $6,690.00 raised by their customers was received months ago, for a grand total of $9,690.00. Thank you so much Scotiabank and Scotiabank customers. you are so appreciated. These funds go directly to our Community Ministries, which includes the Food Bank.

Happy Mother's Day!!! There are different kinds of mothers, so to you who gave birth to a child, to you who are an adoptive mother, to you who are stepmothers, and also to you who although have no children of their own, provide nurturing and care to our children, Happy Mother's Day!!
It seems that winter is still holding on but we are looking forward to warmer days ahead!!

This morning we are not online. The International leaders of the Salvation Army, General Lyndon and Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham are on a tour of Canada. This morning they are leading the services in Toronto and we will be live streaming the service in our sanctuary. You are welcome to join us for this service at 10:30 AM.
Come early as at 10:00 AM we have a coffee time. We also have tea for those that like that.
