A friend reminded me yesterday that July 13 marked the 74th anniversary of the Christian Reformed Church in Lindsay.

Seventy-four years ago, a small group of faithful believers gathered with a vision to establish a Christian Reformed witness in this community. From those humble beginnings, meeting at Cambridge Street Baptist Church, God has done immeasurably more than they could have imagined.

Over the years, generations have worshipped here, children have been baptized, couples have exchanged marriage vows, loved ones have been commended into God's care, and countless prayers have been offered within this church family. Elders, deacons, pastors, volunteers, and faithful members—many whose names are known only to God—have given of themselves to build and nurture this congregation.

Through seasons of joy and sorrow, growth and challenge, God has remained steadfast. His grace has sustained us, His Word has guided us, and His Spirit has faithfully led us.

As we look back with gratitude and remember all that God has done, we also look forward with hope, praying that He will continue to lead and guide us as we seek to be Christ's church in Lindsay for generations to come.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

To God be the glory for 74 years of faithfulness!

Political decrees don't shake true faith. 🙏 Daniel didn't protest, didn't cause an uproar — he simply went home and prayed. Faithfulness isn't about seeking conflict, it's about remaining faithful when conflict arises.
