Hi everyone,
The church follows a three-year cycle of readings assigned to each day for services and daily devotion.
On Sundays, these include an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, a New Testament reading, and a Gospel reading.
That way, we are immersing ourselves in all the Bible has to offer.
These are the readings for this Sunday.

These readings are from the Anglican Church of Canada’s adaptation of the Revised Common Lectionary. On Sundays and feast days there is a link to the full readings.

The evening sun shining on the mountain's face is one of the last shards of light I see at day's end. Light matters in faith, as it often symbolises hope and grace. In my faith, it also shines a light on God's presence and on need in our world. But the next step is what matters. Recognising need is only the beginning. Sometimes the next step involves a little, sometimes a lot, but is always worth it.

Our service in church on Sunday begins at 10 am, and everyone is very welcome, with refreshments being served afterwards. If you would like the Zoom link, plus the Order of Service and PowerPoint presentation, please let me know.
I hope you all have a Blessed weekend.
If you have any prayer requests, or if I can help with anything, then please do get in touch.
Always with my prayers and thanks

Good morning, everyone,
My apologies; I missed sending out the June copy of the Anglican journal while I was on my travels. You can find it at the link below. The Journal takes a break over the summer, so I'll send the next one out in the autumn.
Always with my prayers

The latest issue of the Anglican Journal is now online. Read about the Primate’s recent visit with Christians in the Holy Land; a project to revitalize congregations in the Western Arctic; General Synod’s new treasurer; the resurrection as the most profound statement of God's abundant love.

Hi everyone,
Peace Trail is the new Pacific Mountain Indigenous Ministries Newsletter, and the first edition is now available. It's rather bulky to post on Facebook, so if you would like a copy, please just let us know.
Have a Blessed day

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
This week's photo is a picture of a cheeky Marmot poking his head out from a wall. My apologies, there's no real Bible link. They just cheered me up on a smoky walk.

Our Gospel reading on Sunday looks at tradition, and how sometimes it aids us in our understanding and encounters with God, but also perhaps it can prove a hindrance when it makes us rigid and lose track of God's message of love and Grace.

Our service begins at 10 am, and everyone is very welcome, with refreshments being served afterwards.
If you would like the Zoom link, plus the Order of Service and PowerPoint presentation, please let me know.

I hope you all have a Blessed weekend.
Please do get in touch if you have any prayer requests or if I can help with anything.
Yours in Christ, and always with my prayers and thanks

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
An older picture for this week, one of our prayer stones set against a stained-glass window.
The Gospel reading on Sunday is Jesus walking on water, while the disciples' battered boat is struggling against the storm. It's an interesting time for this story, as BC faces so much loss and fear with the wildfires.
Our service begins at 10 am, and everyone is very welcome, with refreshments being served afterwards. If you would like the Zoom link, plus the Order of Service and PowerPoint presentation, please let me know.
I hope you all have a Blessed weekend.
If I can help with anything, or if you have any prayer requests, then please do get in touch.
Always with my prayers and thanks

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
I thought we could do with another brighter pic for this week.
The Gospel reading on Sunday is the miraculous feeding of the five thousand. But miracles can also be seen today in the world, and sometimes it doesn't take much. Just being there for someone and being prepared to listen or offer a hand of friendship can sometimes be seen as miraculous to those who are struggling in life.

Emancipation Sunday is celebrated on the first Sunday in August (even though Emancipation Day in Canada is August 1). This Sunday commemorates the day in 1834 when the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 came into effect for most British colonies, freeing enslaved children under the age of six.

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well.

How do we react when storm clouds enter our lives? Do we take our faith into account when deciding how to react to these sorts of situations? We'll be looking at these issues by telling the parable of the weeds on Sunday.
