City Light Church

City Light Church Our mission is reaching people for Jesus Christ, one person at a time. We spend time together each week through small groups.

City Light Church is a family oriented church that meets together for more than just Sunday Services. Our small groups are the environments through which we make disciples after Christ. We build relationships through sharing in meals, prayer for one another, studying God's word, and serving the City of Lethbridge, Alberta CANADA.

We are excited to share that we are once again hosting a session of DivorceCare and GriefShare this fall. These weekly support groups are a great place to find hope and healing after dealing with trauma, loss, separation or divorce.

These groups begin next week, and we have plenty of room for you or someone you know who is struggling.
DivorceCare runs Tuesdays @ 7pm from September 9-December 2, 2025
GriefShare runs Mondays @ 7pm from September 8-December 8, 2025

To help us raise money for Operation Backpack, our back-to-school support program, we're having a church-wide YARD SALE! Come and sell your items to make space in your home while also donating to a good cause.

All profits will be put towards purchasing school supplies to give out to students in need in our community.

How does it work? Claim a table for your things by messaging us here. Arrive at 8am on the day of to set up and price your items (clean, usable household items and clothes only please!). We'll sell your items throughout the day, or you can stick around to help run our sale. All monies collected will go into our Operation Backpack fund, and at the end of the day you get to take home whatever might not have sold.

Ok, Lethbridge! We’re calling on you for some help! 📣

We have 100 students to support with backpacks and school supplies before the end of August. Will you help us pack their bags? 🎒

We’re looking for donations of new items such as:
•pencils, pens & erasers
•pencil sharpeners
•highlighters
•markers, coloured pencils, and crayons
•calculators, rulers & geometry sets
•2” binders
•notebooks
•graph paper
•glue sticks
•scissors
•pencil cases

If you want to bless our community, consider donating some of these items to our Operation Backpack campaign ✂️✏️📚. You can drop supplies off at the church during office hours or on Sunday morning.

The back-to-school season is stressful for many families in our community. With the increased cost of living and the high needs of returning to classes in the fall, no wonder there is a struggle.

Each summer, CLC provides backpacks and school supplies to those facing financial difficulties, new immigrants, single parents, and low-income students. If this is you, we want to help!
