Convocation this week will see two friends of ECM honoured! Very excited!

ECM is an ecumenical ministry supported by four denominations with financial support coming from presbytery, diocese, synod, and national levels of the various denominations. What makes ECM special and the reason I love working for them though is our local congregations who for over 30 years just keep showing up to support students. They volunteer, they donate food, they share their buildings for our events, and they problem solve with me to help in particular situations. Consistently they try to find ways to come through in a pinch and I love them for it dearly. Eugene Peterson wrote a book called a Long Obedience in the Same Direction - it's about faithful consistency in a magpie world - and it could have been written about my congregations. My heart is full of gratitude for the Anglican, Evangelical Lutheran, Presbyterian, and United congregations of Lethbridge and the surrounding areas. They are amazing.
