Dear Community,

In the Spirit of Giving during this Christmas Season, I kindly ask you and your families to join in the effort in helping Abbé Paradis share the true meaning of Christmas with the homeless. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with Abbe Paradis’ cause with Notre-Dame-de-la-Rue. https://www.cursillos.ca/action/modeles/113m-claude-paradis.htm

If you can find it in your heart to partake in sharing with the less fortunate, I have attached a list of items that could make Christmas a little brighter for the less fortunate. Our goal is to put together Blessing Bags for approximately 120 people (80 men and 40 women) who live in the streets. They will be distributed at a special Christmas Mass that Abbé Paradis celebrates for them every year on Christmas Eve. We encourage you to participate with your families, in purchasing a few items from the list and later assembling the Blessing Bags. The items can be brought as of today to the office during the week or to church on weekends and deposited in a Special Box labeled Blessing Bags, not to be confused with items for the food baskets. Please keep in mind that all items donated must fit in a Large Ziploc Bag, so travel size is suggested for most of items:

Clothing: Warm Gloves/Mittens, Socks, Hats, Scarves

Hygiene: Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, hairbrush, soap,.…..

Food/Treats: Juice box, Soft granola bars, pudding, chocolate

Registration for Catechism Program 2018-19 is still going on.
Please pass by to register in person at theoffice during office hours, or simply fill in the form and attach a payment and mail it to us.

The final registration date for Catechism which will begin mid-sept. will be Wed. August 15.

Saint Anthony of Padua (Portuguese: St. António de Lisboa), born Fernando Martins de Bulhões (15 August 1195 – 13 June 1231),[1] also known as Anthony of Lisbon, was a Portuguese Catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order. Please pass by the office Mon-Thru 9:30 am to 12 :00 pm
and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please bring a copy of your child's Baptism Certificate. The registration fee is payable by check or cash!
