Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler was born on August 8, 1974, in Tübingen, Germany. He's the 875th Apostle of the New Apostolic Church and was appointed Chief Apostle Helper by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider on June 8, 2025. Mutschler is set to succeed Schneider as Chief Apostle on Pentecost 2026

Mutschler grew up with three siblings in Freudenstadt, Germany, and was baptized and sealed in 1974. He studied law at the University of Hannover, graduating in 2003, and later earned his doctorate in law in 2005. Professionally, he worked as a managing director of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Tax Consultants

In his spiritual journey, Mutschler received his first ministry as a Sub-deacon in 1994. He went on to serve in various roles, including Apostle (2015), District Apostle Helper for Northern and Eastern Germany (2021), and Chief Apostle Helper (2025). Mutschler is married to Ann Juliette and has two children.
