Did you know that the EFCC offered bursaries to Bible School students?

As of today, 14 students have received this benefit, and 8 more are in the upcoming term alone. We are certain there will be more requests from students seeking help in pursuing their ministry goals.

Like any scholarship program, financial backing is essential. Through Project: LEAD and with your valuable support, we can help ensure that the necessary resources are available for training future Pastors and Missionaries for years to come, alongside leadership development for those already involved in church ministry.

We are praying that God will provide for us, as there is a significant need within the church in Canada for individuals willing to be trained and commit their lives to serving.

"You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:13,14)

A lot of things are kicking off. In our churches, fall ministries are kicking off. School is kicking off. American football is kicking off. Most of us care about at least one of those things. Some of us care about all of them.

We often call people to pray for all of the great things that are starting up in our churches. For those who are stepping up to lead youth, or help in kids' ministry, or Sunday School. We definitely should pray for them all!

But we wonder if we pray for those who are stepping into their respective mission fields. Our school teachers are heading back to school this fall. They need our prayers as well. They have incredible opportunities to be salt and light as they minister through the ways that they teach. But what if we didn't stop there? What if we prayed for our people as they step into their vocational lives on a day-to-day basis? What about our firefighters, or police, or social workers, or retail employees, or...or...the list could go on and on. Each one of us has a mission field that we are stepping into.

So this month, can we ask you to join us in praying for our EFCC people everywhere to lift each other in the task of being salt and light in the midst of our workplaces.

Tearfund Canada

Tearfund Canada, which is the EFCC’s relief and development partner, is inviting us to join with hundreds of thousands of Christians around the world for the Tearfund Global Week of Prayer Sept. 6-13. EFCC churches are also invited to take part in a special day of prayer on Thursday, September 10. Together, we will pray for people around the world living in extreme poverty and facing injustice.

2026 Post-Conference Report

In June of this year, the Evangelical Free Church of Canada gathered for its biennial conference "In All Things: The Centrality of Jesus Christ" at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church. This was a celebration and homecoming for our church delegates who travelled from across Canada to join with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

EFCC President Shaun Wick provides insights into the plenary sessions, breakout sessions, the AGM, the banquet, and all the other activities that took place over the 3-day event.
