Easter Sunday was great! So what happens now?

If you said yes to believing in Jesus this Sunday, or this was your first time at City Collective Church, here are a few things to get started:

1. Join us for a Sunday Service! We’ll be starting a new series next week called “Pulling Weeds.” Service starts at 10:30 am.

2. Come to a “Pizza with the Pastor!” This is a great opportunity to hear about the heart and vision for our community. The next one is coming up on April 16th.

3. Make friends by joining a community group. Groups meet throughout each month across Langley and Surrey.

4. Sign up for a retreat or workshop to stretch and grow! We have a Freedom workshop happening April 24 + 25, as well as registration is now open for our 2026 Spring retreat.

5. We’ve made space for everyone, from kids, to youth, to our creative prayer gathering.

In everything we do, we want to keep Jesus at the center. This isn’t constrained to the four walls of a church or a Sunday morning but happens everywhere we go.

Let’s discover life in Jesus together.

WEEKEND RECAP

+ Friday Youth and our Saturday Kids Info Session were highlights of the weekend. We love the season we are in as a church and the opportunity we have to serve our community in so many different stages of life!

+ Palm Sunday was a beautiful space of reflection, declaration and celebration. Palm branches and singing hosanna were greater markers to begin Holy Week together.

+ It was a joy to honour the 70th anniversary of two of our very own! With prayer, and song we were privileged to share in that moment in service with Ron & Marilyn.

+ Pastor Jason completed our “Becoming Like Jesus” series divining into the triumphal entry, Jesus’ gift of peace and call to be a sent people. Check it out on church online (link in bio)!

+ We closed the morning with lunch as a community and are looking forward to Stations of the Cross throughout this upcoming week.

Have a great week all, Love God. Love People. Be the Church.

SUNDAY RECAP:

+ Today we were focused on a “withward” Rhythm using this language “It’s in these honest, loving relationships that God transforms us and truth becomes a reality. The way of Jesus cannot be lived alone.”

+ Like in our clip, one of the beautiful ways we engage with Gods transformation in our lives is to sing together. As Paul describes the many parts of the body as all individual yet all one body, so we have many different voices, all singing one song.

+ We have a Rhythm’s pop-up this Wednesday, if you want to dive deeper or take some extra time to reflect on these Rhythms, this is a great event for you to join.

Have a great week and until next Sunday, Love God. Love people. Be the Church.

SUNDAY RECAP:

+ Our last Sunday before Christmas was full of carols and declarations of love. This fourth Sunday of Advent goodness had our spirits high and hearts content.

+ We lit the four candles and reflected together before Pastor Jason led us in Luke 2 and Simeon’s Song. We considered the beauty of waiting and the gift it can be.

Our Christmas eve service is on December 24th, at 3:30 pm. This is a great service to invite friends, family or co-workers who have been curious about church to attend. There will be candle, and carols, and a wonderful time of community together.

As we step into an exciting new week, Love God, Love People and be the Church.

SUNDAY RECAP:

+ During our moment of prayer we took a minute to sing “Turn your eye upon Jesus.” We are praying that you would turn toward Jesus this week and experience his grace and love.

+ Pastoral Resident Jordan continued in our “Judges” series, looking at Gideon’s story in chapter 6-8. Check it out to see what his story can teach us both about God, and about ourselves.

+ Our Christmas outreach has launched! There are many ways to get involved, so check out our site for more information on how you can help families in need this holiday season.

+ Our Community Lunch has been moved from November 23rd to November 30th so make sure to note that on your calendar.

+ We will also be kicking off a week of prayer next week, so keep an eye out for prompts and prayer guides!

Until next week (reminder: lunch is on the 30th), Love God. Love People. Be the Church.

Don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking you’ve gone “too far” from God and that he won’t love you anymore, that He is tired of you… It’s all lies. Know that God never gives up on you, He never will. Despite your mistakes, repeated mistakes, or even falling into bad habits that we swore we would never do again.. know that He welcomes you with open arms every time. ❤️
