Rivers • Longing: The Spirit is Life

We begin this series about the Holy Spirit by discussing “Longing.” What does it mean to long for the life the Spirit offers? Within our community, this question has arisen because of our appreciation of the many stories we have read about in the book of Acts. We believe that God has poured out his spirit upon many generations, and so we ask, “What does God have for us, or from Acts to Us?”

This Sunday, we begin a new series called Rivers, exploring what it’s like to be filled with Rivers of Living Water. To do that, we’re looking at different truths the Bible says about the Spirit.

• June 7 — Dave Solmes: Longing (The Spirit is Life)
• June 14 — Kirsten Anonby: Repentance (The Spirit is Holy)
• June 21 — A Discussion with Luke Knight and Global Workers Matthew and Amber: Dependence (The Spirit is Power)
• June 28 — Kirsten Anonby: Expectation (The Spirit is Promised)

Also, please note that the Valley GranFondo will be happening on Sunday around the Fort Langley area, and will have an impact on traffic routes. Please give yourselves extra time to get to church!

It's going to be an amazing Sunday full of worship, prayer, and community, and we can't wait to see you! Communion will be served during both our services. Service times at 8:45am and 10:30am.

Beginning this Sunday, June 7, we'll be moving to new Summer service times: 8:45am & 10:30am! Our Kids@theFort and Nursery are available in both services.

Our hope is to bring our community together by having just the two services and allowing time in between to connect. The summer service times will also provide a break for our teams, who, since the fall, have been pouring into multiple services. We look forward to seeing you this summer!

We have just come from a long run in the book of Acts together, covering Acts 1 all the way through to Acts 9. So today is a little bit different — we're talking about going From Acts to Us: Making Room and Sharing Stories. What have we been hearing in the book of Acts together? And what does that mean for our lives as a community of faith today? So from Acts to Us, we're going to be making some room for prayer and worship, and we're going to be sharing some stories, and we're excited to do that today.

It's going to be an amazing Sunday full of worship, prayer, and community, and we can't wait to see you! Service times at 8:45am, 10:15am, and 11:45am.

Unbowed: Uncovering A Faith That Doesn't Break is a 12-week summer Bible study for young adults through the book of Daniel — and it's for anyone trying to figure out how to hold onto their faith in a world that keeps asking them to let it go.

Starting Thursday, June 4 at 7:00pm, each week pairs the story of Daniel with A Visual Theology Guide to the Bible by Tim Challies and Josh Byers, so you'll walk away not just knowing Daniel better, but actually knowing how to read your whole Bible with confidence. Learn more on our website!

What do you do when the world wants you to be someone you're not? That's not a new question. Daniel faced it over 2,500 years ago — taken from everything familiar, dropped into one of the most powerful and hostile cultures in the ancient world, and told in every way possible to just fit in. He...
