We praise God for the beautiful weather, the joyful moments shared, and the opportunities to get to know one another more deeply. Most of all, we’re grateful for the reminder to stay rooted in Christ.

May what we’ve learned and experienced continue to strengthen our walk with Christ long after camp is over.

Acts 8 began with persecution scattering the church throughout Judea and Samaria. By the second half of the chapter, we see another stage of Jesus' promise in Acts 1:8 unfolding.
The Gospel is no longer simply reaching crowds. It is reaching individuals.
These individuals represent very different kinds of people:
• Simon the Sorcerer - a man of influence, spiritual power, and public reputation.
• The Ethiopian Eu**ch - a government official, educated, wealthy, and spiritually searching.
These stories together teach us that the Gospel is for everyone—but every heart must respond rightly.
Status cannot save you. Knowledge cannot save you. Power cannot save you. Only Christ saves.

In Chapter 6 of the book of Acts, we come to the remarkable story of Stephen, the first Christian martyr of the early church. Last week, we met Stephen as one of the seven men chosen to serve because he was known to be a man of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom (Acts 6:3). His first recorded ministry was not preaching to crowds but serving tables, reminding us that no act of service in God's Kingdom is insignificant and that God often prepares His servants for greater responsibilities through humble faithfulness.
Following Jesus is easy when life is comfortable and obedience is celebrated. Many are willing to serve when there is appreciation, recognition, and visible blessing. But what happens when faithfulness brings opposition? What happens when standing for Christ costs you your reputation, your relationships, your career, or even your life? Stephen's life answers those questions. Through his wisdom, his bold witness, his Spirit-filled speech, his final words, and ultimately his death, we see what unwavering faith looks like. Stephen's story is not merely about dying for Jesus. It is about living so completely for Christ that even death can not silence your testimony. Our message this sunday is titled Faithful Until Death.
