CLA Kids

CLA Kids is a ministry to family life. We seek to reach the hearts of children by caring for the whole family.

It is our goal through child centred programming to encourage children to grow in body, soul, mind and spirit, so they can know God fully.

Today CLA Kids is thankful for Susan Radmacker.

Susan is a frequent volunteer in various ministries at our Langley Campus. We've been grateful at CLA Kids for the way she capably comes alongside children as a Launch Zone support team member. Her daughter Laura is one of our Grade 5 graduates (yeah Laura!) moving on to REV 678 soon. The good news is, like mother, like daughter, Laura will come and serve as a youth volunteer continuing the great legacy of serving. Thank you Susan for all you do and your faithfulness.

This coming Sunday - June 21 - is MOVE UP SUNDAY!

Pre-school aged children will be moving into new rooms classified in the years listed below:

Twos Room - Born in 2024
Threes Room - born in 2023
Fours Room - born in 2022
Kindergarten Room - born in 2021

Kindergarten children graduating into Grade 1 (born in 2020) will join Elementary students in the conference hall. Please check your children in at the treehouse and drop them off in the conference hall. Pick up will be in the Grade 1 classroom above the treehouse.

This Thursday, we're thankful for Taylor Voros!

Taylor started volunteering with CLA Kids in 2019 when she was only fifteen years old! That's seven years of faithful volunteer work! Taylor serves once a month in the nursery and also helps us every year with Kids Camp! Taylor is thoughtful, intentional, and goes above and beyond to help us on Sunday mornings. Taylor takes the time to get to know all of our nursery friends by name, and she makes all of our families feel welcome.

Taylor, we're so grateful for your dedication to CLA Kids. Your willingness to show up and serve, even on Sundays when you're not scheduled, is what helps make Sunday mornings possible.

This Thursday we are thankful for Candy Metcalf.

Candy has been serving with CLA Kids for just over 3 years, remaining faithful and consistent, willing to step in wherever there is a need. Candy serves in the nursery and is dedicated to making a safe and welcoming environment for all of our little ones. With her warm and inviting personality, Candy not only connects with our nursery attendees but also their parents. For many parents the nursery is their first impression of CLA Kids and volunteers like Candy are the reason Sunday mornings are an all around success. Candy, we are so grateful that you are a part of the CLA Kids team - we truly could not do this without you!

Tomorrow is Family Sunday!

In honor of Sunbeam and to celebrate their 50th anniversary all children in grades K - 5 will join their families in the service.

Preschool classrooms and the Nursery will remain open.

Following each service Sunbeam will be serving light refreshments in the conference hall. All are welcome to join and celebrate what God has done in the last 50 years. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Thursday we are thankful for Jonah!

Jonah is one of the High School Pastors at our Langley campus and faithfully serves in many areas on Sunday mornings — including CLA Kids Church! We are so grateful for the energy, joy, and enthusiasm he brings to our elementary spaces each week. Jonah is always willing to jump in and teach, and through intentional conversations, prayer, and active participation in every lesson, he consistently reflects the love of Jesus to each child he connects with.

Jonah, thank you for your consistency and passion for the next generation. We are so thankful for you and the impact you make as a dedicated CLA Kids volunteer!

This Thursday we are thankful for April!

I don't think there is anyone who is as buoyant as April. She shows up EVERY Sunday, smiling and ready. No wonder babies fall asleep in her arms, and children run to hug her in the hallway. She simply cares about kids and has a gifting to be present with them and their families. Thank you April for all you do. You make our team better.🙌

Today, CLA Kids is thankful for Tristan Phommaviset!

Tristan faithfully helps behind the scenes running tech and also helps in the Grade 5 room. He always brings such a calm and welcoming presence and his big smile, kindness, and thoughtful heart make a huge impact on the kids and leaders around him. We love the creative and fun ways he connects with the Grade 5 kids and helps make church a place where they feel seen, valued, and excited to be. Thank you, Tristan, for serving so faithfully and making a difference every week. We appreciate you so much!

This Thursday we are thankful for Ashley!

Ashley serves so faithfully in Kids Ministry as our Elementary school helper and also on our set up team. She shows up with a willing heart, a great attitude and such a love for our kids and our church family.
We are so thankful not just for Ashley but for her whole crew. Her husband Emanuel and sweet son Dezzy who are such a blessing too. Ashley, you
are seen, loved and deeply appreciated. Thank you for serving so selflessly and being such an incredible part of our team 💕
