CLA Kids

CLA Kids is a ministry to family life. We seek to reach the hearts of children by caring for the whole family.

It is our goal through child centred programming to encourage children to grow in body, soul, mind and spirit, so they can know God fully.

This Thursday we are thankful for Nicole Molnar.

22 years ago, Nicole began serving with CLA kids at the Maple Ridge campus. In the summer of 2010 she transitioned to the Langley campus when she accepted a part time role coordinating the elementary spaces on Sunday mornings. Through the years Nicole has since changed roles but has remained an integral part of CLA Kids.

When we asked Nicole what she has loved most about CLA Kids, and what has kept her serving for so many years she said "It is such a joy to see the kids grow in their faith. I've had the privilege of watching many of them grow into amazing adults…Years later when I see them following whole heartedly after God, it brings so much joy and I celebrate that along the way of God's amazing journey for them, God chose me to play a small role."

Nicole will be moving in September and will be leaving CLA Kids. After years of service and great impact we want to thank you Nicole for all that you have brought to this ministry. Thank you for showing up with the heart of God every Sunday morning and every Kids camp. You have served CLA faithfully and we cannot wait to see what God continues to do through you in this next chapter. We love you Nicole!

This Thursday, we're thankful for Christel Morgenrood!

Christel has been serving in the nursery with CLA Kids since 2021! That means she's been serving with us for five years! That's roughly 260 Sundays spent caring for our babies and walkers!

Christel is a consistent, generous, and joyful volunteer. She genuinely looks forward to her Sundays in the nursery. Christel is a great communicator. She always makes sure to block out Sundays when she is away or unable to serve. Even more so, she is always willing to step up and serve on another Sunday.

Christel is welcoming, kind, and encouraging. Her enthusiasm for serving and caring for all the children in the nursery makes her an absolute joy to serve alongside. Christel, we're so thankful for your commitment to CLA Kids. You're a blessing to all our littles in the nursery.

Today, CLA Kids is thankful for Shannon Manky. Shannon is a mom and a CLA Kids volunteer. She also comes with some other superhero training that makes her versatile and amazingly helpful in our elementary spaces at the Langley campus. But above all this she has the heart of a servant of Jesus. Thank you Shannon for sharing all your skills and heart of compassion with us. The truth is, we simply couldn't serve without parent involvement in CLA Kids. And it's one of the best seats in the house for a parent to observe their child grow closer to Jesus. Come and talk to us when you're ready to join the team!

This Thursday, we're thankful for Haley Woltjer and Simon Williams!

Haley and Simon have been serving with CLA Kids for years! Simon started serving with CLA Kids in 2017 at our Kids Camp: New Depths. In 2019, he started serving in our twos classroom and has been there ever since! That's eight years of serving as the two-year-old teacher! Haley started serving with CLA kids in 2022 in the nursery -- that's four years of serving!

Simon and Haley have truly been a blessing to our ministry. They both serve twice a month and are always willing to jump in and help, even on Sundays they're not scheduled to serve. Haley is a gift to our nursery. She cares deeply about the babies in our nursery. She is intentional in building relationships with our CLA families, so that both them and their children feel safe entering our spaces. Simon loves our two-year-olds with his whole heart. He welcomes them by name and is intentional in getting to know them. He brings joy and enthusiasm to our spaces!

Simon and Haley are getting married tomorrow and we're so excited for them and this new season of their lives. Congratulations Simon and Haley! Thank you for being part of the CLA Kids team. You have made a lasting impact on the lives of so many children and families.

This Thursday we're thankful for the Boganes family!

The Boganes family have been faithfully serving with CLA Kids for years. Debbie, Erika, and Karina serve once a month in Kids Church. Debbie serves in the Grade 3 room and has stepped up in BIG ways to help us this year at camp! Erika serves in nursery, and Karina teaches the four-year-old room. Erika is attentive to all the needs in our nursery, and greets each and every child. Karina also worked as our Summer intern last year — helping put together Kids Camp 2025: Race Ya!

We're so grateful for the Boganes family and their continued dedication to CLA Kids! Debbie, Erika, and Karina are always ready and willing to step in when needed. They make sure all of our CLA families feel safe and welcomed!

This Thursday we are thankful for Aiden Breckenridge!

Aiden has served alongside CLA Kids at our Langley campus for the past 5 years. Aiden serves in our tech spaces bringing excellence to our sound, lighting and media displays. He also serves as a steady and welcoming presence at the Treehouse, welcoming families, solving back end technical problems with a calm demeanor and efficiency. Aiden has also dedicated his time to serving at Kids Camp each year bringing our spaces to life with his amazing skills. Aiden, your desire to help in our spaces and make CLA Kids a meaningful place for all the kids that walk through our doors is not unseen and we are thankful for YOU and all you bring to the team.

I SPY Kids Camp registration at our Langley Campus is now CLOSED!

Today is Family Sunday! In honor of Canada day, our Elementary and Preschool classes will be closed at our Langley campus. The nursery, mothers room and parent supervised space will remain open. We invite you and your children to join the service and worship with together.

Following both services there will be food, games and fun for both you and your children, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Today CLA Kids is thankful for Susan Radmacker.

Susan is a frequent volunteer in various ministries at our Langley Campus. We've been grateful at CLA Kids for the way she capably comes alongside children as a Launch Zone support team member. Her daughter Laura is one of our Grade 5 graduates (yeah Laura!) moving on to REV 678 soon. The good news is, like mother, like daughter, Laura will come and serve as a youth volunteer continuing the great legacy of serving. Thank you Susan for all you do and your faithfulness.
