Next Sunday is not only the 16th Sunday after Pentecost but is also the beginning of Creation Time in the Christian community. It is celebrated with the colour orange which suits the Autum harvest. The following Sunday, September 20, we will not be meeting here at Chalmers but celebrating with other Christian folk at the Embro Fall Fair. When you get to the gates of the Fair, tell them you are here to celebrate an interdenominational church service and you should have admittance at no charge. And as the weeks fly by, Fall seems to be upon us with harvest, Hallowe’en and the youthful goblins seeking candy on behalf of the local dentists, and then Advent. Busy, busy!

From this Sunday on we are on a prayerful holiday. Over this time, you may have time to ponder the future of our work in Chalmers United Church. We face a future with all its many challenges. Enjoy this time of rest and we will re-congregate again at 10:30 am on Sunday August 9, 2026 here at Chalmers, Kintore.
