I know, I said some time back no more longggggggg posts.
However, yesterday I was asked a question which really made me think and I wanted to share my thoughts. I was asked, which way I lean as a Christian? I have to admit I was taken aback by the question. As a born again believer, I don't lean; I don't lean because if I lean, I fall…
I stand! I stand on the promises of God, I stand on His word. I stand on His truth. I stand firmly on the solid ground that is my salvation. I stand firm wearing the full Armour of God.
I am a fixer, I want to make everything ok for everybody…Reality is that it is not within my power. So I stand.
There are 5 promises from Scripture that God wants each of you to know today. Even though you may already be able to recite them by heart, really believing and living them can still be a challenge.
1. God loves you unconditionally.
2. You are redeemed and have an eternal home in heaven.
3. God formed you with intention and knows you intimately.
4. God’s plan for your life is to prosper you and not to harm you.
5. You have special strength available to you through faith and prayer. The best resource that’s available to you is the power of Christ.
ARE YOU READY TO JUST STAND?
If you need to get back on your feet in any area of your life, I invite you to join me and God here today and we will learn to stand again together.
I have a few more things to tell you about standing, before you begin standing; you need to know these truths.
●Standing is difficult, especially when you are feeling stuck.
●Standing stretches you in ways you cannot imagine. Stretching you Faith muscles can be harder than a day at the gym.
●Standing gets uncomfortable. It is easy to stand on the days that things are going well; when the blessings are overflowing. However, even after years of faith, those days in the valley with dark clouds overhead my legs begin to shake under the pressure.
●Standing will likely be misunderstood by others in your life as fear. But when God calls you to stand, it is precisely what you need to do.
