As we gather this Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that food is more than a meal—it’s a gift from God and a reminder of His provision. Our Foods in the Bible sermon series continues this Sunday with bread and wheat, exploring how bread throughout Scripture points us to God’s provision for both our physical and spiritual needs. As we celebrate Thanksgiving and share in Communion, we have a special opportunity to give thanks for God’s goodness and the gift of Christ.

Service starts at 10 am.

Hands and Feet Sunday is tomorrow. This is the day that we incorporate works of service for our neighbours into our morning worship. We meet for a shortened version of our regular 10 am service and then immediately head out to the community to participate in various jobs.
Sign-up sheets will be present if you still need to sign up for a job – there are still many openings! Remember to wear your work clothes and bring anything related to the jobs that you signed up for. Lunch will be served at 12:30 pm.

As we continue our “Foods in the Bible” series, this week we’re looking at something that appears again and again throughout Scripture—oil.

Throughout Scripture, oil shows up in many different ways. It was used to provide light, prepare for what was coming, bring blessing, care for others, and anoint. From the lamps of the tabernacle to the oil poured over Aaron, used to care for the wounded, and carried by the wise virgins, oil was both a practical gift and a meaningful picture of God’s provision.

As we look at these different ways Scripture talks about oil, we’ll discover how this ordinary gift from God points us to something much greater—and ultimately, to Jesus, the Anointed One.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the many ways the Bible talks about oil and what this everyday gift from God can teach us today.

This week, we continue our fall sermon series, Food in the Bible, as we take a closer look at fish. In John 21:1–14, Jesus meets His disciples on the shore, provides an incredible catch of fish, and shares a meal with them.

Fish is more than just food in the Bible. It points to God’s provision, His power, and His care for His people, and it became one of the earliest symbols of the Christian faith.

Join us this Sunday as we discover what fish can teach us about God’s provision—and the One who provides for us.
