Attention singers! A production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice is planned for Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., in Margaret Rodger Memorial Presbyterian Church, 463 rue Principale, Lachute. Practices take place on Wednesday evenings, including January 29, and the Wednesdays of February, March and April, at 7-9 p.m. in the church. Saturday practice times will also be made available on Feb. 1, 15, March 1, 8, 22, April 5, 19, 26, 1-3 p.m., especially for those unable to make most of the Wednesday rehearsal times. This is a one-hour musical, which tells the story of Joseph and his brothers, all sons of Jacob. It consists of solo and choral parts, with piano accompaniment. For grade 3-6 students at LES:
The after-school Music and Drama group at Margaret Rodger Memorial Presbyterian Church meets Wednesdays, 3:10-5:00 p.m. until the end of April. We are working on the musical, Are we there yet? The story of Moses and the Exodus. For those interested in singing and acting, you would be welcome to join this group which has only just got started for this term. We will be performing the musical on Friday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
