We have entered into a new way of being church.
At this Pentecost moment,
we are not alone:

God will reveal Creation’s dream,
as we give thanks for whose we are.

Christ will claim us as his own,
as we declare who we are.

God’s Spirit will pour out on us,
as we anticipate who we will become.

At this Pentecost:
We take courage in the assurance of whose we are;
we affirm our call to be Christ’s disciples; and
we trust the Spirit to guide us through the challenging space between who we are and who we will be.

Surely, we are not alone.
Thanks be to God.

May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia. Join us today in support of the non-negotiable truth of every person’s dignity.

Creator, we come to you with both the joys and the sorrows of our hearts.
We are grateful for the gift of life and the joy that it can bring.
For families and friends who love us.
For allies who stick up for us, even when we cannot risk sticking up for ourselves.
For the great diversity you have created in our world.
We pray for those who suffer from discrimination because of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Who worry about their employment or who cannot find a job.
For those who must hide who they are to find housing.
For those who are not safe on our streets.
For those who do not feel safe in their place of worship.
Help us to end homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia, and all forms of discrimination and hate.
Show us the way to make this world a better place for all.

We will be meeting for coffee, tea & toast & a time of visiting this morning at 10:30am. All are welcome!

A Mother's Day Blessing

to all those who offer mothering love in so many ways,
to birth mothers, adopted mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, chosen mothers, grandmothers and godmothers,
to soon-to-be mothers and those yearning to be mothers,
to those of all genders who offer tender care and understanding to children,
to all who are missing their mothers and those grieving for their mothers,
to broken-hearted mothers grieving for their children, gone too soon,
and to all who carry pain in their hearts as mothers or because of mothers,
we pray that you will know God's presence with you
as you mark this day, whatever it means for you this year,
joy or grief, hope or fear, sorrow or celebration, frustration or delight.

May you know God’s love enfolding you with all the love you offer to others, and more.

God bless you, today and every day.

We are so sorry for the technical difficulties with Michelle Gale’s memorial service. It was a beautiful celebration of Michelle’s life & we sincerely wish it would have recorded properly.

God of the wild Wilderness,

In the hustle and bustle of the year, you are there:
Quiet, waiting, patient.

Help guide us to the quiet centre,
So we know what we can do,
How we can help,

And how we can live out your work.

Help us follow Jesus

Into the Wilderness, and then

Out into the grander world.
