St. Andrew's Anglican Church - Kugluktuk St. Andrew's church is a member parish of the Diocese of the Arctic, in Kugluktuk, Nunavut, and forms part of the Kitikmeot Regional deanery. J. John R.

Andrew's has had a long and vital history and association with the Inuinnaqtun people. Founded in 1926 at Bernard Harbour, the parish was relocated to Coppermine in 1930, with the building of the first mission house/church. We have had many clergy working with us over the years, and two particularly stayed with us for many years, the Rev'd. Harold Webster from 1930 to 1952 and the Rev'd. Sperry (

later 3rd Bishop of the Arctic) from 1950 through 1969. While the original mission house/church still stands, the congregation moved into it current building (the second of our free-standing church buildings) in the early 1970's. If you're living in Kugluktuk, we hope that you will find a home with us in this congregation and join us regularly for worship. If you're visiting, know that there's a welcome for you.
