This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday- the arrival of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of the Church.
Everyone is invited to wear Red.
We will have a birthday cake after church along with some juice and coffee (please bring your own mug.)
St. Paul's has so much to celebrate!
It will be Sarah and Ren's first anniversary! Josie, their new baby, will be the first one to celebrate with them
We announced Mike and Athena's engagement.
Lisa and James announced that Hannah will have a new sister or brother.
We blessed the marriage of Lauren and Dylan last week. Lauren is Gary and Bev's grandchild and the 4th generation of their family to be married at St. Paul's.
Another of Gary's grand-daughters, Erin, did the attached picture of St. Paul's.
We will have a record number of marriages this year at St. Paul's- we already have 10+ in the works!
We will also have at least 4 baptisms.
Thanks to Pierre we have updated our Hauptwerk digital organ. Having this organ software was invaluable during Covid and the sound has improved immensely. We have begun a fundraising campaign that will include a concert.
Keep your eyes open for that!
Pierre has also updated our fundraising platform from Canada Helps, which costs 4% to use, to Zeffy which does not have a cost (although they give you an option to donate to their own site.) The QR code is attached. You just have to use your camera on your phone to get to the website information.
The celebration of the life of Alex Paterson will take place on June 29 at 11:00. Alex was an extraordinary man and there will be many people joining us to remember his life. Please Google Alex Paterson to get a glimpse of his tremendous accomplishments. He was a loyal and dedicated member of St. Paul's and his breakfast conversations have been greatly missed by our 8:00'ers.
And there is even more great news on the way!
There has been something new and exciting happening every week this year and this week will be no exception!
You don't want to miss a Sunday.
Collect for Pentecost Sunday
O God, who on this day taught the hearts of your faithful people by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit: Grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Thanks and Blessings
Tim
