“In this limited space, the ark, we learn to try new things and live with each other, however uncomfortable. We challenge each other. But learn we will if we welcome each other’s wisdom. Because we are in this journey together,” said Wieteke van der Molen (Netherlands), CMERK 2026 plenary speaker and MWC executive committee member.

Over 14-17 May 2026 in Amersfoort, Netherlands, in a space that resembled an ark, more than 600 Mennonites from Europe and beyond gathered as witnesses for CMERK. They listened to each other, built on each other’s ideas and collaborated.

Each Tuesday we share a reminder to pray for one another:

Pray for Comunidad Cristiana Ebenezer, a Mennonite Brethren congregation in Colombia. We pray that God would strengthen the leaders. We pray that more people in Soacha, Cundinamarca, are open to the good gospel of Jesus, and for the possibility of obtaining a building for our church members to gather.

Members of GAPSEN learned together in a webinar entitled “AI support of Anabaptist schools in lesson planning.”

Arnold Driediger of the August-Hermann-Francke network of schools in Germany was the presenter. He shared a model for AI-supported lessons planning.

“We want not only to reach the minds of the students but also to touch their hearts,” said Arnold Driediger.

“Anabaptists are very diverse in wonderful ways (languages, cultures, unique strengths to contribute to the larger family of Anabaptism). But the diversity of conviction on some very major issues (theology, ethics, mission) creates significant challenges,” says Tim Geddert. As chair of the Faith & Life Commission (2025-2031), Tim Geddert leads the team’s effort in navigating these challenges.
