Shri Ram Dham Hindu Temple runs all kinds of spiritual, cultural and social activities daily, weekly and yearly. The Temple is open daily for everyone to visit, have darshan of Bhagvanji and do offerings and participate in Temple services such as Pooja and Aarti. We provide facilities for Pooja and Havan at the Temple, but also at the residence of peopl
e according to their needs. We are also open for counseling and helping people to find solutions for all kinds of problems they are facing in life. Everyone is welcome to achieve spiritual guidance and to understand and discuss our philosophical treatises, our scriptures. At Shri Ram Dham Hindu Temple we have many people from different origins participating in the weekly activities which are excellent in nurturing the body, mind and spirit. There are several classes one can attend such as Yoga classes, Sanskrit classes, Bal Vihar classes, Philosophy classes, Ayurvedic Cooking classes, Music and Dance classes. On every Sunday we have satsang with opportunity for devotees to sponsor the preeti bhoj. We also offer the opportunity to sponsor for Akhanda Ramayan Path on various occasions such as birthdays, weddings, graduations and much more. Every Tuesday we have one hour continuous recital of Hanuman Chalisa with Preeti Bhoj in the Evening. We also have some major annual events. Every Year we organize a 5 days Yoga Camp for children age 4 to 13. This Camp is very important for children in the west. We all know that this is the era of Hi-Tech. Daily activities of children involve computer or other Hi-Tech media through which they are constantly exposed to visual violence, greed and anger. There are very less physical activities in children’s daily routine. This all leads to stress, depressions and low physical capacities in children. Their minds are very unstable due to this. Living in a western atmosphere there is also a big risk that Hindu children are drifted apart from their Sanskaras and Dharma. Brahmarishi Mission of Canada has great care for our children, which are the future. Through this Yoga Camp and the weekly Bal Vihar we try to embed Vedic Sanatan Dharma in these children and we are gaining success in this effort. There are remarkable improvements in the children attending Yoga Camp and Bal Vihar. They show more Sanskaras in them and also more knowledge about Sanatan Dharma. We teach them yoga philosophy and asanas, pranayam and meditation. We explain the importance of Havan and prayers in daily life and also teach them how to perform Havan. They learn lots of Mantras and about Rituals and Symbolism in Hinduism. We also work on their creative and social skills through crafts and playing, working, sharing and eating together. For adults we also organize a Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat every year. People here in the West are becoming more conscious about their lifestyle. The comforts and conveniences of modern life are not capable any more to bring peace and happiness in their lives. They all long for inner peace and happiness and understand the fact that Yoga practice is the only way to achieve this. So there is great demand for Yoga and Ayurveda in these countries. We try to fulfill this demand and teach people to live a complete healthy and spiritual life through such Retreats and our weekly Yoga classes. Another major annual event is the celebration of Bhagvanji’s Sthapana Diwas with 108 Kundiya Maha Mrityunjaya and Navgraha Maha Yagya. Whenever we do offerings in fire with Divine Mantras, we are spreading Divine vibrations in the atmosphere which benefit this whole creation. This Yagya is therefore a great opportunity to serve this creation and show our gratitude for everything we get from Divine and also to rectify our mistakes of polluting this atmosphere constantly. Yagya is a vital part of Vedic Sanatan Dharma. It is therefore very important to promote Yagya in the West. Yagya is very essential for World Peace, health, wealth, prosperity, all round development and upliftment. Besides these events we have every year grand celebrations of all the festivals like Diwali, Navratri, Ramnavmi, Janmashtmi, Holi, Shivratri and Guru Purnima. These and many other events such as Bhajan Sandhya and Children’s cultural program are organized regularly. Another activity of Brahmarishi Mission of Canada is that Shri Ram Dham Hindu Temple has become an educational center for many schools/high schools/universities to acquire knowledge about Sanatan Dharma and Hindu & its way of life. Every year many schools visit the Temple to have a lecture about Hinduism and we also are invited to their school to give talks on Hinduism. This is a great way to spread and preach Sanatan Dharma correctly. In school books various aspects of Hinduism are depicted incorrect, which creates wrong concepts about Hinduism in people’s mind. Hence this is a wonderful opportunity for us to teach Sanatan Dharma in its right form and remove wrong concepts about our Dharma. We are very gratefully prostrating in the lotus feet of Paramaradhya Shri Gurudev Ji Maharaj who has established this center and who is bestowing His eternal grace and strength upon us, which makes us capable to serve the humankind through these various activities and events. Swami Chaitanya Jyoti has dedicated more than 25 years serving the community here, which is applauded by everyone. She is in high regards of the community and has become a model of Wisdom, Love and Service to everyone. I seek the blessings of both Paramaradhya Shri Gurudev Ji and Swami Chaitanya Jyoti Ji to walk in their footsteps to teach/preach Vedic Sanatan Dharma and always be in service of humanity.
