This Sunday we will be having our “Come Holy Spirit Service!”

This is a time where we encourage the congregation to share, to bring a testimony, or a word. It is a time where we press in with no agenda or set plan. We will worship, and wait on the Lord.

We find these services so precious and communal. We are always amazed at what the Lord does. We have seen healings, words of knowledge, prophecy, testimonies, and so much more.

So come expectant for God to move. His presence is so precious to us. Something that we consistently pray for is, “God to have your way in us and this church.” We are so grateful for what the Lord has done, is doing, and will do! Hope to see you out this Sunday.

With Expectation,
Pastor Amy & Adam

Our Mission: Growing together in the Love of Jesus to heal a broken world.

This isn’t just a statement, it’s a way of life.

To live this mission means becoming a healthy community. A community that encourages one another, and carries each other’s burdens. It means we are a people who truly “live in the love of Jesus.” We spend time with Him, listen to His voice, and letting Him into every part of our lives. We want true intimacy with God. As we do this, the Holy Spirit transforms us. And transformed people produce “good" fruit.

When we are rooted in His love and shaped by His Spirit, we become a safe place. We have peace, and joy, we are faithful and good. We are loving and kind. We are patient and have self control. We are filled with hope. As we are filled with the Spirit and bearing His fruit in our lives we are a community where people can open up. A community where people encounter Jesus, and find the healing that only He brings.

This has been the heart of our recent 3-part series: Opening our lives to Jesus, so that He can restore what is broken in us and use us to bring others to Him so He can transform and heal them too!

So let’s keep growing together. Let’s be in the Love of Jesus, being close and intimate with Him. Let’s be a people who continually bring the broken to Him, and treat them with Love. Then they will feel safe to open up to a God who loves them, and wants to heal them more than they will ever know!

Merry Christmas!

As we come to the end of the year, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. We are so grateful for each of you. For your prayers, generosity, encouragement, and the way you continue to show up and love well. This past year has been such a gift because of the people who make up this family.
Thank you for walking with us, believing in what God is doing at Catch The Fire Kitchener, and for being part of a community that feels like home. We don’t take it for granted.

We’re praying that this Christmas season is filled with peace, joy, rest, and a fresh awareness of God’s nearness. May the New Year bring renewed hope and excitement for all that He has ahead.

With so much love and gratitude,
Pastors Amy & Adam

We finished our “Advent Series” with, “When Grace Looks Scandalous.” We had two powerful images, the manger and the cross.
At His birth, Jesus entered the world completely dependent.
Dependent on Mary and Joseph for food, warmth, and protection.
The God who needs nothing, chose to begin life needing “everything.”
At the cross, we see that same dependence again.
Stripped of comfort.
Stripped of dignity.
Stripped of control.
Entrusting Himself fully to the Father, in order to save us.
From beginning to end, Jesus’s story is a downward one. Not because He was weak, but because He loved us. He served us, came humble, and gave His life for us.
The manger shows us a God who came down to be with us.
The cross shows us a God who went, “even lower” to save us.
This is the heart of Christmas:
God came down into our world, into our brokenness, into our need.
His love stooped low. He didn’t just come part way. He came all the way down, to bring us home.
