“Let this be the September you always remember. The September you chose to accept. This month, Remember that joy is more than just “staying positive.” Joy is a way of living. A way of looking for Light in the midst of it all.”
- Morgan Harper Nichols

On November 6, 1986, St. Andrew’s celebrated 25 years of television ministry on CKCO-TV — a ministry that had been bringing worship from our sanctuary into homes across the province since 1961. The service features a young Rev. Bill Johnston and Susan Shane. This special anniversary logo was created to mark the occasion and appeared during the broadcast.

In 1886, St. Andrew’s received a new baptismal font, given by Miss Perine in memory of her late mother, Mrs. M. O. Perine. 140 years later, it remains part of St. Andrew’s.
A church account from the time described it as “a beautiful piece of workmanship, carved and decorated in excellent taste, and fully in keeping with its immediate surroundings.”
The font was first used on October 31, 1886, when the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tait was baptized by the Rev. J. K. Smith, then Moderator of the General Assembly.
