🚨SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS🚨

Friday Aug 14th, 6:30pm - Full Dormition Feast Vigil (Vespers+Matins in one combined 2+ hour service) -- really FANCY. We will have an outdoor candlelight Cross Procession near the end of this service, as we relive the funeral procession of the Holy Theotokos. We will be carrying her "funeral bier" (or shroud) around the church three (3) times, stopping to make special prayers at the four sides of the church.

Needed: Lots of Altar Servers for all the special entrances and OUTDOOR procession
during the Friday evening Vigil service

Needed: Lots of flowers (in pots and in vases) and flower petals (we have some baskets). Father Andrew will say the prayer to bless the flowers at the end of the Saturday Dormition Liturgy.

Needed: Lots of little girls to carry baskets of flower petals and to throw the petals during the outdoor candle light Procession

Needed: a few to help decorate the Tomb of the Virgin Mary with flowers

Needed: lots of people to come pray, and carry candles in the OUTDOOR procession

1) Fr Andrew and Matushka Karen are taking a few vacation days, Monday - Friday July 27 to 31. They will be back in Kingston for 5pm Vespers on Saturday Aug 01, Lord willing. Fr Andrew will be available for Emergency Phone calls on his cell.

4) The Dormition Fast begins Sat Aug 01, for two short weeks. Mark your calendars AHEAD of time. We hope to hold a FULL Dormition Festal Vigil (Vesper+Festal Matins) at St Gregory's on Friday evening Aug 14, followed by the Dormition Festal Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning at 10am, Aug 15. 1) NO SOCIAL COFFEE HOUR meal today. Only Coffee, for those who need to ward off their caffeine migraines. PLEASE -- We WANT TO KEEP the basement SOCIAL HALL clean and neat and tidy for the Sunday Wedding Reception. Please DO NOT sit at the tables and chairs. There will be LOTS of shawarma for everyone at the Reception downstairs after the Wedding. Everyone is INVITED. P.S. Parents--please let your dear children only play with the blocks...and then clean them up afterwards. No messy stickers, no cutting, no glueing, no coloring, etc. Thank you!

2) Announcing the Marriage of Alexander Nediak to Helena Hennessy, on Sunday, July 19, 3pm -- The Wedding Reception will be in our church social hall immediately following.

3) Memory Eternal to our former Reader Thomas Nadavallilyour . He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the ICU at KGH last Sunday July 12, and was buried on Thursday. Pray for his widow Ramani "Susan" and sons Chris and Cyril and the entire family. Thank you.

4) MINI-VACATION week for Fr Andrew and Matushka Karen...Monday July 27 through Friday July 31. We will be in Hamilton visiting our grandson. Father will be AVAILABLE only for EMERGENCY phone calls.
