Please join us this Saturday June 1st for a charity yard sale and BBQ at 1479 / 1483 Lower Drive. All proceeds will be going to support Homes for Heroes Foundation here in Kingston. Homes for Heroes has recently completed a village of 20 tiny homes and a resource centre located on Kings St near the new Providence Care hospital. They are helping homeless military veterans reestablish their lives. Homeless veterans who have lost their way and are living on the street are given an opportunity to move into a furnished 300 sq ft tiny home, receive counseling and a job once they have completed the program. Edmonton and Calgary have villages up and running already, Kingston's opens officially on June 4th however there are already 4 people moved in and Winnipeg is the next one. We will be accepting garage sale items this week! Please call or Text 613 449 3110 if you have anything you'd like to drop off. There will also be a donation jar if you'd like to make a cash donation. Cheques can be made out to Homes for Heroes Foundation.
