Jummah Reminder - Purification

Abdullah ibn Mu’awiyah reported: A man said,
“What is purification of the soul?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “That one knows Allah Almighty is with him wherever he is.”

Jummah Reminder - Have Good Thoughts

Abu Huraira reported:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“Allah Almighty says: I am as My servants expect of Me. If he thinks good of Me, he will have it. If he thinks evil of Me, he will have it.”

Jummah Reminder - Fasting Day Of Arafat

Abu Qatadah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about fasting the day of ‘Arafat, and he said,“It will expiate the sins of the previous and upcoming years.”
Then, the Prophet was asked about fasting the day of ‘Ashura, and he said,
“It will expiate the sins of the past year.”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1162

Jummah Reminder - The Best 10 Days

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.”
Some companions of the Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.”

Jummah Reminder - True Faith

وعن عبادة بن الصامت، رضي الله عنه ، قال‏: ‏ قال رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم‏: ‏ ‏"‏من شهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وأن محمداً عبده ورسوله، وأن عيسى عبد الله ورسوله، وكلمته ألقاها إلى مريم وروح منه، وأن الجنة حق والنار حق، أدخله الله الجنة على ما كان من العمل‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏ وفي رواية لمسلم‏: ‏‏"‏من شهد أن لا إله إلا الله، وأن محمداً رسول الله، حرم عليه النار‏"‏‏.‏

'Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
"He who bears witness that there is no true god except Allah, alone having no partner with Him, that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, that 'Isa (Jesus) is His slave and Messenger and he (Jesus) is His Word which He communicated to Maryam (Mary) and His spirit which He sent to her, that Jannah is true and Hell is true; Allah will make him enter Jannah accepting whatever deeds he accomplished".

Jummah Reminder - Cleanliness

Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“Allah is pure and He loves purity, He is clean and He loves cleanliness, He is noble and He loves nobility, and He is generous and He loves generosity, so clean your homes.”

Jummah Reminder - Help Your Brother

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ انْصُرْ أَخَاكَ ظَالِمًا أَوْ مَظْلُومًا ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا نَنْصُرُهُ مَظْلُومًا، فَكَيْفَ نَنْصُرُهُ ظَالِمًا قَالَ ‏"‏ تَأْخُذُ فَوْقَ يَدَيْهِ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Anas: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,
"Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."

Jummah Reminder - The Best Of You

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“The best of you are those with the most excellent character and are careful of those around them. The worst of you are the pompous, the braggarts, and the pretentious.”
