Ever feel like sharing your faith means you need the perfect words, the right answers, or a sales pitch? 🙋

On Sunday we looked at Matthew 28 and Acts 1 and found something freeing: evangelism doesn’t rest on our technique. It rests on Christ’s authority and the Spirit’s power. Our job is simply to be a witness, to say what we’ve seen and heard.

And the last thing Jesus said before he left? Not “make it work.” It was “I am with you always.” 🙌

This week’s challenge: think of ONE person. A coworker, neighbour, or family member. Pray for them by name every day, and ask the Spirit for an opening.

Ladies, mark your calendar.

On Saturday, October 24, the women of Live Free Church are taking over McCurdy Bowling.

Here’s the plan:

That’s it. No agenda. No awkward icebreakers. Just good food, a few laughs, and probably some questionable bowling form.

Never bowled? Perfect. Neither have half of us.

New to Live Free? Even better. This is the easiest way to meet people without having to stand around after a service wondering who to talk to.

Our youth are hitting the streets tonight with one tiny paperclip and a big mission: trade up for something bigger and better, one door at a time. 🚪

If you are in grades 7-12, meet us at 721 Bell Rd. It’s from 7-8:30pm. Bring your friends, your best manners, and your trading game. 🙌

Yesterday we looked at 1 Corinthians 15:1–8 and asked a simple but searching question:
What actually is the gospel?

Not a vague, feel-good spirituality.

Not “Jesus just wants to be your friend.”

Not “just try to be a good person.”

Paul hands us something far more specific — and far more solid:
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared…”

Here are a few quotes that stuck with me:
“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
— C. S. Lewis

“To really hear the gospel is to be shaken to your core. To really hear the gospel is to change.”
— Mark Dever

“To deny the objective reality of Christ’s resurrection is to have a faith considerably different from Paul’s. One wonders whether such a faith is still the Christian faith.”
— Gordon Fee

The gospel isn’t a documentary you nod at and then go back to your evening.
It’s news. Real news. News that names witnesses who were still alive when Paul wrote… and dares you to go check.

If this is true, it won’t let you stay the same.

We relaunched our youth ministry last night and it was so good.

Students ran all over Rutland completing challenges, laughing, and just being together.

We’ve prayed for this for years. Grateful for what God is doing.

Youth Scavenger Hunt!

Join us for a fun scavenger hunt for youth!

When: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Pick-up & Drop-off: 721 Bell Rd
Grades 7-12

We’ll gather at 721 Bell Rd, head out exploring the area with clues and challenges, and return to the same spot by 8:30 PM.
