Reflecting on Our Time with Venerable Pandit Cittasamvaro
We have been incredibly blessed to have Venerable Pandit stay with us for the past three months. His teachings, wisdom, and profound guidance have enriched our lives and deepened our understanding of the Dharma. Venerable Pandit has a unique ability to relate to laypeople, sharing his experiences with openness and generosity that truly resonated with us all.
Our community events, including our weekly Sunday pooja, all-day meditations, and question-and-answer sessions, Medition Mondays and Dhamma Talk Thursdays have been transformative. Venerable Pandit’s explanations of Karma, the Eight Noble Paths, and the Four Noble Truths have provided clarity and insight that will stay with us forever.
Venerable Pandit’s humor, wit, and personality brought joy to our daily lives. From our morning qigong sessions and dog park walks, shared meals, day trips to Niagara and Collingwood to our evening bonfires and movie nights, his presence was a source of happiness and laughter. We created many cherished memories during his stay.
As he returns to Thailand, we all feel a significant absence. However, we are filled with gratitude for the time we had together and the wisdom he imparted. We look forward to the possibility of his return next year and wish him all the best on his journey.
In the spirit of generosity and gratitude, we are raising funds to support both Venerable Pandit and the Padma Refuge Foundation. From now until August 18, all donations made through our PayPal account () and Interac e-transfers ([email protected]) will be directed to Venerable Pandit to assist with his personal expenses and travels over the next year. After this period, donations will go directly to Padma Refuge Foundation to support our temple and bring over the next monastic teacher.
To show our appreciation, we will be creating a card with the names of everyone who contributes, which we will send to Venerable Pandit. This gesture will help convey our collective gratitude and the impact he has made on all of us.
Your kindness and generosity will help continue the valuable work and teachings that have benefited us all so deeply.
Thank you, Venerable Pandit, for everything. Your teachings and your spirit have touched our hearts deeply. Until we meet again, may you be well and happy.
