This beautiful couple said their "I do's" dockside at a family cottage with tons of "extra lake guests" peering on. The bride arrived by boat and the newlyweds left by ATV. 😃 Congratulations Matt & Lynsey. Thank you for choosing me to officiate your special day and may you enjoy a long and happy life together. 💍🎉

At a time when thousands of couples are postponing or downsizing their wedding for the 2nd year in a row, I was inspired to share this amazing video of the most creative covid wedding I have ever seen. With travel restrictions and guest limitations, Jared & Josee did not allow any of it to take away the pure joy and happiness of their day. Instead...they used their creative minds to plan the perfect wedding despite the circumstances. From a pre-recorded processional to a drive in big screen and a reduced count in the church, this couple ended up having the perfect wedding for them. My hope is that this video will encourage all those couples who are feeling stressed or discouraged that their wedding won't be exactly what they dreamed but instead that they will find joy in the simple things and the pure celebration of being joined in marriage.

I can't believe how quickly January is flying by. For those of you who got engaged over the holidays, congratulations, I am sure you will agree that the next few months are bound to go by in a flash as well. So have you begun booking your vendors? Lots of times couples think of the venue, the DJ, the photographer and maybe even the decorator or florist....but forget about the most important vendor for their day...the officiant (or minister). For those officiants who only book 1 or 2 ceremonies on any given date, they book up quickly. This may make it difficult to find the "right fit" for your ceremony if you leave it to the last minute. So put the officiant at the top of your list and ensure that you are able to book your first choice. I, myself, still have a few dates available for 2020 but am already booking into 2021. No matter what order you book your vendors in though.....be sure to enjoy the Journey of planning your special day!l
