St. Michael's Camp

St. Michael's Camp St. Michael’s Camp at Madge Lake in Duck Mountain Provincial Park is a Ukrainian Catholic Camp.

We believe in engaging our campers in spiritual, cultural, social, physical, intellectual, moral and recreational activities in order to provide a fun spiritually nourishing and memorable camp experience. This summer we will once again be running two camps; a camp for teens aged 13-16 followed as well as two one-week camps for children aged 8-12.

As family camp came to a close we say goodbye for now. St. Michael’s Camp 2026 Summer programming has officially ended.

A big thank you to all our wonderful parents for sending your children to our teen and youth camps this summer. Thank you to our families for attending family camp. And thank you to our fabulous staff and volunteers we couldn’t have done it without you.

This summer we explored what Madge Lake had to offer. We played games, met so many new people, adventured, sang songs, and enjoyed each other’s company.

I am leaving with a collection of memories and a big smile of my face. Countless hours have been spent preparing, organizing, making phone calls, and setting up camp and I wouldn’t change any of it. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better group of campers, staff and volunteers. I’m leaving here with a full heart. Each one of you truly made this summer one to remember so thank you. ❤️

Today at family camp we enjoyed the warm weather and spent lots of the day outside!

We had the opportunity to try archery! Lots of us went canoe/kayaking and even caught 3 fish!! We had arts and craft time, lego building and played with colorful water gels. Some of us practiced naming colors and singing the ABCs! We also had plenty fun on the scooter train today! We prayed the Rosary and had liturgy with father Ivan Simko where we learned about St. John the Baptist.

This evening we played find the counsellor and enjoyed the campfire roasting marshmallows and making s’mores! Everyone’s belly’s were sure full today as we had great meals provided for us!

We welcomed our family campers yesterday afternoon! Today was a great day meeting each other and having a blast playing!

We kicked off our day with kids club and adults club. An opportunity we offer for parents to leave their children with our counsellors to do crafts, play games, puzzles, and outside time! While the parents have time to have a rest, go on a walk, or enjoy each others company.

We were so gracious to welcome Father Ivan Simko for liturgy. Our cook this week AnnaLee prepared great meals for us!

We enjoyed story time, and plenty of play time together! This evening our families went mini golfing and had the best first day of family camp!

We have some lost and found items from teen/youth camp 2026! Please direct message us if these items are your child’s!

Final full day of youth camp! Our campers journaled this morning for entry #6. Our activity groups all took turn doing archery, canoe/kayaking, and religion class. We went to the beach for our final afternoon of swimming and floaty mat!

We had some very special guests the Bulycz family! They hosted a Ukrainian dance workshop and performed for our campers! We danced away to the heel toe and koloymeyka. We had Moleben with Father Ivan. Our infamous spaghetti munk supper. And ended our day with the dinosaur game!!!

Another fantastic day at camp, tomorrow we pack up and say good bye to our youth campers!

Day 5 included a little rain, a little sun and a boat load of fun! We kicked off our morning with some very special guests from Yorkton the UCWL ladies came out and made rosary’s with our campers. Each camper got to make a rosary to take home with them!

This afternoon we took on the aquatic adventures floating apparatus! We had the best time climbing, jumping, and swimming. We performed our skits this afternoon, we had to create an advertisement on a silly camp themed product. Our campers had to create a poster and act out how to use the product. Our campers chose annoying repellent, portal gun and Jesus shoes! We had journal entry #4 reflecting on things that make us smile, our best memory from today and how to be better ourselves tomorrow. We had liturgy with Father Basil. And ended our evening playing mission impossible and campfire songs!

We have had a fantastic group of campers, staff, volunteers and guests this week. We are so thankful. Youth camp is coming to a close, but 1 more fun filled day and we know it will be one to remember!

Youth camp day 4! This morning our campers started their day with a morning game before breakfast! We then split into our activity groups and did religion class, canoe/kayaking and skit preparation! We will be performing our skits tomorrow, stay tuned to find out what our skits are about!

We spent another afternoon at the beach in the sunshine and glistening waters! We journaled about trusting Gods plan. We prayed the rosary with Father Ivan and had an opportunity to ask and answer questions with him! We played trashcan circle and dodgeball. And to end our evening we had campfire and showers.

We were blessed with another beautiful day at camp, making new friends, trusting our faith, and finding our inner fearlessness!

Today was another great day at youth camp! We started our day praying the rosary. We rotated through our stations. In religion class we learned about the disciples and the 12 apostles. In arts/crafts we completed our wooden sign project. And we headed out onto the lake to canoe/kayak!

We went to the beach where we played games and played on the floating mat! We welcomed Father Ivan Simko and had liturgy. We completed journal entry #2 reflection on what it means to be fearless. Tonight’s surprise evening activity was mini golf! Campfire songs to send our night “swimming swimming in my swimming pool. When days are hot and days are cold in my swimming pool…”

Our tummy’s were always filled with the delicious meals prepared for us. It was another fun filled day, getting to know each other, and discovering all of our special talents!

First full day of youth camp complete! This morning we moved through stations of religious class, crafts, and canoe/kayaking. We are learning responsibilities of dish crews and keeping our dorms clean. (Girls won the cleanest dorm award today!)

This afternoon we went to the beach, swam in the lake, and played at the park. We had our first journal entry, and Moleben with Father Basil. We then ended our day with the game “find the counsellor” and went for showers! We are so thankful for our team of cooks this week Rose and Grace. We are also thankful for all of our staff, counsellors, and volunteers. We truly couldn’t do it without them.

Today each camper learned about the importance of working together as a team and understanding our theme “Fearless.”
