You are warmly invited to join our St. Ann's Academy school community in a special time of prayer as we gather to pray the rosary in the living rosary for peace in our world.

This meaningful time will take place on Friday, May 8 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. on our upper field (outdoors). Students will come together to form the living rosary, and we would be honoured to have you pray alongside us as we lift our intentions for peace, unity, and hope.

In a time when our world is in great need of prayer, this is a beautiful opportunity for our parish and school communities to come together in faith and solidarity.

We hope you are able to join us for this special occasion.

With gratitude and blessings,

SAA Students and Staff

What to Ponder and Pray on Holy Saturday: The Seven Last Words of Jesus

1. “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

In His greatest suffering. Jesus revealed the greatest mercy. He forgave those who cructified Him. This is the mercy that still forgives us today.

2. “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise".

A criminal became a citizen of Heaven in a single moment of repentance. This proves that no soul is too far gone when it turns back to God.

3. “Woman, behold your son... Behold your mother."

Jesus entrusted His own Mother to the “beloved disciple”. In that moment, Mary became the Mother of each and every of us who follows Jesus.

4. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Jesus entered into the depth of human suffering so that no one who suffers would ever be alone again.

5. “I thirst."

He did not thirst only for water. He thirsted for souls. He thirsted for you.

6. “It is finished."

The work of redemption was complete. The debt of sin was paid, The gates of Heaven were opened.

7. “Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit.”

The gift of salvation now means following Jesus all the way home — into the very life and love of our Father — the Family of God.
