Jasper Park Baptist Church

Jasper Park Baptist Church Jasper Park Baptist Church has been serving the town and community of Jasper since the early 1960s.

Jesus said quite simply what the church should be about, ” `Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.’ He also said, “If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” And so

we try to steer by these things, in the power of the Holy Spirit. We invite you to join us in discovering how to walk with the Saviour!

BACK TO THE BASICS is our NEW SERMON SERIES

Life can get complicated. Our faith can too. We can become so busy "doing" things for Jesus that we forget what it means to simply "be with Jesus". That’s why we’re going Back to the Basics.

Over the next several weeks, we’re going to return to the simple, foundational practices of following Jesus. We are going to sit at His feet, listening to His voice, learning His ways, practicing His presence, and allowing Him to shape us into His likeness.

We’ll explore what it looks like to slow down, pray, listen, fast, rest, and live as disciples of Jesus in the middle of a busy world.

Because discipleship isn’t just about doing more for Jesus. It begins with being with Jesus. So wherever you are in your walk with Christ, come join us as we get back to what matters most.

We’d love to have you with us!

WHEN THE DUST SETTLES
What remains when the battle is over?

This Sunday, we come to the final sermon in our Life of David series as we journey through 1 Samuel 28 and 31 and the tragic end of Saul’s story. Saul’s life leaves us with a sobering question:

What will your epitaph say?

When the accomplishments are forgotten, the titles are gone, and the dust settles, what will remain?

This isn’t only a message about the end of Saul’s story. It’s is also a reminder that your story isn’t finished yet. There are still choices to make. There is still time to turn back, surrender, and follow God.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come discover how the same God who shaped David is still shaping lives today.
We can't wait to worship with you this Sunday!

Week 8: Cloudy Days and Dark Nights

Have you ever found yourself in a season where life feels heavy, your faith feels tired, and you’re not sure which way to turn?

This Sunday, we continue our journey through the life of David as we come to 1 Samuel 27–30. David reaches one of the lowest points in his life—but in the middle of his despair, he makes a choice that changes everything:

“But David found strength in the Lord his God.”
Dark days are not the end of the story. Sometimes they are the very moments God uses to turn our eyes back toward Him.

Come join us this Sunday at Jasper Park Baptist Church as we discover what it means to find strength in the Lord when faith gets tired.
Everyone is welcome. We’d love to have you with us!

SAME TEST. DIFFERENT DAVID.

What happens when God gives you a second opportunity to face the same temptation?

This Sunday, we continue our Summer in Samuel series with
Week 7: “Same Test, Different David” from 1 Samuel 26.

David has another opportunity to take Saul's life. The circumstances feel strangely familiar. The temptation is real. The opportunity is right there. But this time, David responds differently.

Sometimes God allows us to face the same kind of test not because we haven't learned anything, but because He's showing us how much He's changed us.

What did David learn in the wilderness?
What happens when we choose trust over revenge?
And what can God teach us when He bring us back to a test we've faced before?

Come discover how God can use the same test to reveal a different heart.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come discover how the same God who shaped David is still shaping lives today.
We can't wait to worship with you this Sunday! Come worship with us, let's continue the journey through David's story together!
