A Heartfelt Thank You from the Fund Raising Committee
After much thought and prayer, the seven of us on the Stella Maris Fundraising Committee have decided that it is time for us to step aside. For the past three years, it has been our privilege to serve our parish through dinners, fundraisers and many other events. We have shared countless hours planning, organizing, cooking, cleaning and working together for the good of our church. While it has been incredibly rewarding, we have reached a point where we feel it is time to pass the torch to others. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us along the way – those who volunteered their time, donated, attended our events or offered words of encouragement. Every act of kindness made a difference and together we accomplished so much. Our hope is that new volunteers will feel called to continue this important work. If anyone is interested in forming a new fundraising committee, we would be more than happy to share our experiences, offer ideas and help make the transition as easy as possible. We want to see our parish continue to thrive and we know that with new energy and fresh ideas, it will. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to serve. We leave with grateful hearts, treasured memories and every confidence that God will continue to bless Stella Maris Parish through the generosity of its people.

Our prayers and congratulations to Seminarian Joe MacMaster who was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon this week. He will return to St Augustine’s Seminary in September and will return to the Diocese of Antigonish in January, 2027 to begin parish ministry in anticipation of his ordination to the priesthood.

Fr. Jaison will be away this week. Enjoy your trip and travel safely!
May the Good Lord be in front of you, the Blessed Virgin behind you and an angel on each side to guide you safely on your journey!
