Inverness County Cares will conduct a community presentation in gratitude for the local support of the schools for the blind and visually impaired in Zambia. Come and learn about their life, the challenges they face, their resilience and how donations from Canada have changed their lives. Duties include mowing grass, painting, erecting signs, minor repairs, cleaning and general set up for concert. Post concert employee

Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in the field of marketing, advertising or tourism, and have good Social Media Skills. Steubenville Youth Conference happening this summer! It is a joyful encounter with Jesus with other teens from all over. Steubenville Atlantic is happening in Halifax on July 10th – 12th. It is the biggest Steubenville Conference since 2009 and we are pleased to have a group attending from the Diocese of Antigonish. Limited space is available. Family Mass will be celebrated on second Sunday of the month at 11 am Mass in Stella Maris Church.

Holy Hour/Adoration on Sunday, May 3rd following 11 am Mass. Personal confessions will be available.

Bible Study is cancelled until further notice while Fr. Daniel has time to rest and recover.

Holy Communion will be taken to the sick and shut-ins on second Thursday of the month. If you wish to receive Holy Communion please contact the Parish Office with your name, phone number, and civic address. If no one is in the office, please leave a message with your information.

St. Margaret’s Sunday Rosary is prayed on Sundays at 9am before Mass. All are welcome.

Stella Maris Rosary for Peace will be prayed for before the Mass on Saturdays, 4 pm and on Sundays, 10am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

St. Margaret’s Finance Committee is looking to add two new members, one male and one female, to the committee. Anyone that may be interested in joining are asked to please contact Chairman Donnie MacLellan or Secretary Mary Anderson.

Stella Maris Parish – Volunteer are needed to assist with preparation for the Masses especially now on Tuesdays. If you are willing to assist you would be doing tasks such as laying out vestments, setting up the altar, placing vessels (chalices, etc), linens, books, lighting candles and putting them away after the service. If would like further information please call Stella Maris Parish Office 258-2462.

St. Margaret’s Finance Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 5th, 6:30 pm in the vestry.

St. Margaret’s Cemetery Clean-up will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 9am. Volunteers are asked to please bring rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc. Many hands make light work!

Steubenville Youth Conference happening this summer! It is a joyful encounter with Jesus with other teens from all over. Steubenville Atlantic is happening in Halifax on July 10th – 12th. It is the biggest Steubenville Conference since 2009 and we are pleased to have a group attending from the Diocese of Antigonish. Limited space is available. Inverness Food Bank needs your help! You can contribute by placing non-perishable food items or essential family supplies in the basket at the churches or businesses that may have a box set up. World Day of Prayer for Vocations is being observed this weekend and you are invited to support the Antigonish Diocesan Society in its work to financially support priestly formation by making a contribution. Event Coordinator for the 70th Annual Broad Cove Scottish Concert, July 26, 2026.The position is for a 14 week period @ 35hours/week. The anticipated start date would be mid-May, 2026.The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self starter who is able to work independently. previous experience in the field of event planning and coordination would be an asset. Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in the field of marketing, advertising or tourism, and have good Social Media Skills. St. Margaret’s Groundskeeper Position: 10 weeks/35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for general groundskeeping and preparing for the Broad Cove Concert. Duties include mowing grass, painting, erecting signs, minor repairs, cleaning and general set up for concert. Post concert employee
Required to do grounds clean up, store benches, remove signs, etc. Interested persons may submit their to Stella Maris Parish office. For further information please contact 258-2462.
