The Russell & Are Food Connection is gearing up to provide families in our area with a little extra support over the Christmas Season with the provision of a Christmas Hamper. The hampers include a complete Christmas Dinner and a wrapped gift for each child in the family. I have attached the form to fill out to nominate a family. A form for each family nominated must be filled out and must include their phone number. You must have the forms back to Rebecca Burla by Wednesday October 28, 2026.

Happening today!

Today, we come together from across Canada to celebrate the ELCIC's 40th anniversary.

We invite congregations and individuals to join us online this morning for a special worship service under the theme 'One Body,' as we give thanks for 40 years of shared faith, ministry and community.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you:

Now that the anniversary is over Rosie & Rebecca are working on all things Christmas. As some of you are aware that Rosie is dealing with some health issues and cannot help with Christmas plans like she previously has. We are working on a simple program we have written to use and we need help. If you can help us with assisting in Sunday School to help Rosie and if you can spare an hour or 2 here and there to help us prepare.
We understand that everyone is busy with sports, harvest, etc. but we absolutely do not want the tradition of our Christmas Eve program to stop. We need your help otherwise it wont happen at all!

A prayer for World Food Day!

God of the harvest, we give you thanks for the bounty you provide. We thank you for all kinds of food that nourish and sustain us. We pray for the many places of food insecurity, around the world and in our communities. We confessed that we often have plenty when others go without. Help us to work towards food justice. In Jesus‘s name we pray. Amen.
