We are glad to have Reece Gordon joining us for this year's Heritage Spring Retreat! Reece is from Arkona, Ontario. He holds an MA from McMaster University and an MDiv from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He has a passion for missions, evangelism, and church history, and spends his free time traveling, exploring nature, and reading good books. Reece currently serves as the stated pulpit supply for the Presbyterian Reformed Church of Rhode Island.

We are happy to have Pastor David joining us at this year's retreat! After serving ten years in Christian education, Pastor David graduated from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary with an MDiv in 2014. Together with his wife Wendy and their four children, he has served churches in Michigan and Ontario prior to being installed in Burgessville in January of 2025. He has earned a ThD from the Theological University of Apeldoorn in homiletics, and remains interested in preaching, aesthetics, and the idea of a Puritan Baroque concept.

What a priceless gift we have been given in the salvation available through Jesus Christ! That gift, and its infinite cost, are some of the things we will learn about on the Saturday morning at the Retreat! See a small summary below:

"When God opens our eyes to see Him in His flawless, majestic holiness, we become keenly
aware of our own sinfulness and unholiness. We realize that God cannot accept us as we are.
Like Isaiah who saw God in His holiness, we confess, “Woe is me, for I am undone!” But praise
God, there is One Who fully measured up, Who whole-heartedly dedicated Himself to His
Father, and Who gave His life and paid the price for our acceptance before God – our Lord Jesus
Christ."

"Need we concern ourselves with holiness? And if so, what is the standard for holiness? Peter answers these vital questions in 1 Peter 1:16: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” God Himself is the standard and pattern for our holiness. He is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. He is devoted to His own glory. He is perfect - and it is our high calling to be like this glorious God."

This is a brief synopsis for our first topic on the Friday evening of the Retreat. Pastor Ian Macleod hopes to lead us in discussing the "Pattern for Holiness."
