There are so many little things that have happened that have led me to the development of THE PROJECT, but most recently, in the midst of our nation celebrating its 150th Anniversary and while praying if God were to speak what He would say I was led to this specific verse, “Stand in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where the good way is; And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your
souls.” (Jer. 6:16 ESV)
We live in world where truth and opinions have been blurred. There is so much confusion and wrestling going on against scripture; what it says about Him; what it says about us, where we came from and where we are going, but yet God beckons all to taste and see that He is good. (Ps.34:8)
Over the next 6 months I will be developing a documentary. Digging up the details of how our community was established with the gospel being its cornerstone long before it was even acknowledged as a village. Uncovering the history of how God brought key believing loyalists to this area and used particular people to establish this town as a place where the gospel was active and alive even in the midst of great adversity.. How the Saddle Circuit Riders had various tent meetings that led to two revivals. How Albert Simpson and his fourfold gospel mission made its way here through evangelist even touching the heart of people like Amy Semple McPherson and others who spread and lived out the Gospel of Christ. How our Presbyterian church was the first to have a radio broadcast on CBC radio and influenced the nation at the beginning of the 20thcentury. How this town of 13000 people is currently surrounded by over 8 churches which some are celebrating their 175th year in Ingersoll and yet most of these churches are empty. As I take you on a journey to uncover the God nuggets of what was once the heartbeat of this area I will be interviewing random citizens understanding our culture, regaining community and so we can recommit our future . Who do you say Jesus is……
