As friends across the Diocese of Algoma mourn the loss of Thomasena "Ena" Conliffe, we share this memory from the September 2010 issue of the Algoma Anglican.

Ena was a prominent and deeply respected woman in the Diocese of Algoma, known for her faithful leadership, her service as Diocesan President of the Anglican Church Women, and her unwavering commitment to parish and diocesan life.

This photograph was taken at the Diocesan ACW Annual Meeting and shows Ena alongside then-Diocesan ACW President Jacquie Howell and Bishop Stephen Andrews.

For decades, Ena served the Church through the Anglican Church Women, the Girls' Auxiliary, parish choir ministry, and countless acts of faithful service at St. Michael and All Angels and throughout the Diocese of Algoma.

Today, we give thanks for her life and ministry, and we honour her memory by sharing this glimpse from our diocesan archives.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

🕊️ Delegate Diary: Blaze Cucksey Finds Peace and Purpose at General Synod 🕊️

First-time youth delegate Blaze Cucksey from St. Brice’s Anglican Church in North Bay in the Deanery of Temiskaming reflects on his experience of the opening worship at St. Paul’s Cathedral, connecting with other young lay leaders, and the importance of inclusion in church life.

“Even in a crowded room… there is peace in knowing where—and to whom—I’m going.”

From communion to community, Blaze is discovering how national conversations can inspire local renewal.
