In the car. While you’re waiting. At work. Before a difficult conversation. In the middle of an ordinary Tuesday.

You don’t have to pray like someone else.

Maybe you’ve heard someone pray so beautifully that you thought…

“I could never pray like that.”

Maybe you stumble over your words.
Maybe your mind wanders.
Maybe all you can say is,

“Jesus, please help me.”

That prayer is enough.

God isn’t measuring the beauty of your words.
He’s listening to the honesty of your heart.

James 5:16 reminds us:

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power.”

Not because we have the perfect words.
Not because we know the right formula.

But because of Jesus.

So come to God as you are.

Bring the messy thoughts.
The unanswered questions.
The failures.
The fears.
The things you don’t even know how to put into words.

You don’t have to impress your Father.

Just talk to Him.

Pray honestly.
Pray persistently.
Pray even when you don’t know what to say.

Your prayer is not wasted breath.
He hears you. 🤍

Baptism isn’t a declaration of how good we are.

It’s a declaration of how good Jesus is.

It points beyond the person in the water to the One whose grace saves, whose mercy restores, and whose love makes us new.

“Baptism is a proclamation, not of my goodness or the one to be baptized goodness. It’s a proclamation of Jesus Christ’s amazing grace. It’s a proclamation of His bounteous mercy.” Pastor Musa Daba

Our baptism doesn’t say, “Look how good I am.”
It says, “Look how good He is.” 🤍

You are not who you were.

In Christ, the old life has been buried and you have been raised to walk in newness of life.

Your past doesn’t get the final word.
Your failures don’t get the final word.
Your struggles don’t get the final word.

Jesus does.

Romans 6 reminds us that our union with Christ means His death and resurrection have changed everything. We don’t have to keep living as though we are still bound to the old life.

Today, remember this:

You have been given new life.
Walk in it.

“Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
— Romans 6:4
