Thank you to all of the people who came out to support the clean-up yesterday. What a beautiful day up on the Island, colors starting to pop! Gates will open daily next week on Mother's Day. We welcome you to come and take a walk on the Island. Please be careful if travelling by vehicle down Greys Island road, as it hasn't been groomed yet for the season.

REMINDER Tomorrow is the day we will have the gates open to allow our community to help with the beautification of Greys Island and/or to spruce up a loved one's site to make ready for this year's OPENING Day on MOTHER'S DAY.

Gates will be open to welcome YOU and the return of Spring. YOU are welcome to come and help with removal of winter debris, twigs and seasonal decorations or just general tidiness. We look forward to seeing you there.

The volunteers of Greys Island Cemetery wish to thank our neighbours at Caledonia Place, Hillsborough, for hosting our Annual General Meeting again this year, on April 16, 2026. Special thanks to Laura and Doris for all that you do behind the scenes to make our meeting successful!

Annual General Meeting on April 16th starts at 6:00P.M. The meeting is open to community members and will be held at Caledonia Place. The address is 56 Mill Street, Hillsborough, NB. Please RSVP by messaging back to this post, as this building has a controlled entrance. We would like to respect the tenants' privacy. We would ask that you park on the street or, even better, the Kiwanis parking lot, as the tenants pay for their parking spaces. If you can not attend but would like to share any suggestions or comments, please reply to [email protected] or reach out to one of our members directly. We look forward to another beautiful year at Greys Island, and thank you for supporting us and following our posts.

Our community eagles, seen here is one of the adults and second picture is one of the junior birds. For a couple of days, the juniors could be seen stretching their wings until finally they made their way to the top of the tree to launch themselves into their first flight. Keep an eye out for these locals when you are in the area, you may even hear them.
