A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of having the leaders of the Canadian National Baptist Convention at the ministry centre for an afternoon!

This was a great opportunity to share with them all that happens in a day to day here, as well as have them experience doing a Stop & Care, serving our unhoused neighbours in the area.

A sweet moment captured from The Hamilton Fellowships fusion camp this summer.

This team would stop and pray together before lunch and to wrap up at the end of each day. What a beautiful reminder to take the time to stop and pray with those around you!

Last week, two churches in Alberta hosted Backpack Day events, serving their communities by helping kids and families get ready for the back-to-school season! 🎒

What a beautiful opportunity to meet a tangible need while building relationships, creating community, and sharing the hope of the Gospel with their neighbours. We love seeing churches step into their communities with generosity, compassion, and a desire to make a difference ❤️

Thank you Church for the City and IBE Calgary for sharing your photos with us!

Are there people in your community that are struggling to learn English?

We want to help you serve your neighbours! Send Relief has created a course to teach you and your church how to start an ESL Ministry.

If this is something that interests you, check out the link in our bio to access the course, or send us message and we'd love to chat more about this with you.

Sometimes the purpose God has for an outreach is different from the one we had planned.

Last week, a mission team from Sparr Baptist Church partnered with The Hamilton Fellowships to host a Kids Club at Woodlands Park following their Sunday service.

While the children laughed, played, and participated in the activities, several team members had the opportunity to build a relationship with one of the mothers at the park. As they listened to her story, they were able to encourage her and pray with her.

Although the outreach was designed with the children in mind, one of the most significant moments of the day happened through a conversation with a parent. It's a beautiful reminder that when we faithfully step out to love and serve our neighbours, God often works in ways we never expected. Never underestimate what the Lord can do through a willing heart.

When Duban was studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Theology, he envisioned church planting as the ministry path God had for him after graduation.

But during that season, his pastor approached him with an opportunity to serve as a Send Relief Journeyman at the Hamilton Ministry Centre. At first, Duban was hesitant. Yet as he sought the Lord’s direction, God made it clear that He was calling him into compassion ministry.

Now, nearly three years later, Duban has grown tremendously through his time as a journeyman, gaining a deeper understanding of what ministry truly looks like and how to live it out every day.

“I’ve seen how practical ministry should be. It’s not just teaching people the Bible and sharing the truth—it’s walking alongside people in their pain, suffering, and hurt.”

As Duban’s journey with Send Relief comes to an end this fall, we’re incredibly grateful for the impact he has made and the ways God has shaped him during these years. We can’t wait to see how the Lord continues to use him in the next chapter of ministry He has prepared.

Thank you, Duban, for your faithful service! ❤️
