πŸ•―οΈ Today, we pause to remember the events of October 7, 2023, and to honour the lives lost, the survivors, and all those whose lives continue to be impacted by that day and its aftermath.

We gather in remembrance, solidarity, and hope, holding close the values of compassion, resilience, and community. May the memories of those we lost be a blessing, and may we continue to support one another as we seek healing and work toward a more peaceful future.

πŸ’™ May their memories be for a blessing. זיכרונם ΧœΧ‘Χ¨Χ›Χ”.

✨ Did you know that Jewish tradition has its own rich history of magic?

Join Rabbi Weiss for The Magical World of Jewish Magic, a fascinating three-part adult education series exploring how our ancestors understood the world around them and sought meaning, protection, and control in uncertain times. Together, we'll discover how Jewish magical traditions, many influenced by surrounding cultures, can help us better understand both our history and what it means to be human.

πŸ“… Three Monday evenings at 7:00 PM, starting October 19
πŸ“ Attend in person or online
✨ Come to one session or all three!

No actual magic will be used... except, perhaps, the magic of learning together. πŸ“–πŸͺ„

🌿 What does it mean to truly dwell in the sukkah?

Join the TAS Social Action Committee on September 30 at 7:00 PM for an Immersive Sukkot Experience featuring mindful eating, visualization, and an engaging game of life that invites us to reflect on poverty, privilege, and community.

We'll also hear from Laura Cattari, Senior Policy Analyst at Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction, as we explore the connections between the values of Sukkot and social action.

For more information, contact the Social Action Committee at [email protected].
