Join us Sundays as we grow in faith, build community and serve our city with Christ's love. Welcome to MacNab Presbyterian Church! We are located in the heart of Hamilton, right across from the Go Transit Parking lot at the corner of MacNab and Hurst. We have two Sunday services:

Gathering is our intimate and contemporary service. Coffee is available at 8:45 and worship begins at 9am. Traditional service in the sanctuary begins at 10:30, with full choir and organ, followed by coffee & fellowship time. On Thursdays we pray for peace …

Heavenly Father,
On this Thursday, we come before You praying for peace — peace in our hearts, peace in our homes, peace in our communities, and peace throughout Your world.
Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. In a world filled with conflict, division, anger, and uncertainty, help us become instruments of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let us bring love. Where there is hurt, let us offer compassion. Where there is misunderstanding, help us build bridges of understanding and reconciliation.
We pray for nations torn apart by war, for families experiencing conflict, for those who feel alone or afraid, and for everyone whose heart is troubled. Protect the innocent, comfort those who grieve, and give wisdom and courage to those working to bring an end to violence and injustice.
Holy Spirit, begin Your work of peace within each of us. Quiet our anxious thoughts, soften our hardened hearts, and help us respond to others with patience and grace. Remind us that peace is not simply the absence of conflict; it is the presence of God's love, justice, mercy, and reconciliation.
Bless the mission of MacNab Presbyterian Church. May our congregation be a place where people find welcome, understanding, hope, and the peace of Christ. Help us carry that peace beyond our church doors into our neighbourhoods and everyday encounters.
Father, make us willing to listen before speaking, forgive when we have been wronged, and stand courageously for what is right. May our words bring encouragement, our actions demonstrate kindness, and our lives point others toward Jesus.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who offers us a peace the world cannot give.

Lord, let Your peace begin in us and flow through us to others.

On Wednesday we pray for the homeless ….

Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Wednesday with hearts open to the needs of those who are homeless, hungry, lonely, and struggling to find hope.
Lord Jesus, You taught us to love our neighbours as ourselves. Help us to see Your face in those living on our streets, sleeping in shelters, or wondering where their next meal will come from. Remind us that every person has dignity, worth, and a place in Your heart.
Father, we pray for those facing the daily challenges of homelessness. Provide safe shelter, nourishing food, warm clothing, and access to the care and support they need. Protect those who are vulnerable, comfort those who feel forgotten, and give strength to those who are losing hope.
We pray for the staff, volunteers, and outreach workers who serve these neighbours in need. Bless their hands as they prepare care bags, offer food, listen to stories, and share kindness. May every small act of compassion become a reminder that Your love is alive and at work in this world.
Lord, open our eyes to the circumstances that lead people into homelessness. Give our communities wisdom to address poverty, mental health challenges, addiction, and the lack of affordable housing. Help us move beyond judging people to understanding them, and beyond feeling sympathy to taking meaningful action.
Bless the homeless ministry at MacNab. May our congregation be a welcoming place where compassion is genuine, practical help is offered, and everyone is treated with respect.
Lord, may the care we offer today remind someone that they are not forgotten, that they are loved, and that hope is still possible.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, who welcomed the stranger, cared for the forgotten, and calls us to love one another.
In His holy name, we pray.

Serving Christ by serving others

Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Tuesday with grateful hearts, thanking You for the ministry and mission of MacNab. We thank You for calling us to be Your hands and feet in our community, sharing the love of Jesus through our words, our actions, and our willingness to serve.
Lord, bless our mission work today. Open our eyes to see those who are struggling, our ears to hear those who need someone to listen, and our hearts to respond with compassion. Help us remember that every person we meet is precious in Your sight.
Bless our ministers, elders, volunteers, and everyone who gives their time and gifts to the work of Your Kingdom. Renew their strength when they grow tired, encourage them when the work seems difficult, and remind them that even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference.
Father, guide MacNab as we seek to be a church beyond our walls. Help us reach those who feel forgotten, support those who are hurting, welcome those who feel alone, and bring hope where there is discouragement. May our mission be more than something we do; may it be a reflection of who we are as followers of Christ.
Holy Spirit, lead us where You would have us go. Give us courage to respond to the needs around us and wisdom to serve in ways that truly make a difference.
May everything we do bring glory to You and make the love of Jesus visible in our community.

On Monday’s pray for the new week ….

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of a new week and for the blessing of another morning. Thank You for Your faithfulness, for the love of Jesus Christ, and for the presence of the Holy Spirit who walks beside us each day.
Lord, as we begin this Monday, we place the week ahead into Your hands. Guide our decisions, direct our steps, and help us recognize the opportunities You place before us. Give us patience when things don't go as planned, courage when challenges arise, and wisdom to know when someone simply needs us to listen.
Holy Spirit, fill us with Your peace and compassion. Help us be a source of encouragement to our families, our friends, our neighbours, and everyone we encounter. May our words bring hope, our actions demonstrate kindness, and our lives reflect the love of Christ.
We pray especially for those who are lonely, grieving, anxious, or struggling with illness. Remind them that they are not forgotten and that Your love remains steadfast, even in difficult times.
Lord, bless our families, our churches, and our communities. Strengthen those who serve others, encourage those who are weary, and help us work together to bring Your light into the world.
As this new week unfolds, teach us to be thankful for the small blessings, faithful in the tasks before us, and confident in Your promises.
We do not know everything this week will bring, but we know that we do not have to face it alone. Walk with us, Lord, today and every day.

Sunday we pray for the congregation of MacNab

Heavenly Father, our gracious and loving God,
We come before You this Sunday with thankful hearts, grateful for the gift of another day and the opportunity to gather in Your name at MacNab.
Lord, we pray for our entire congregation. May Your Holy Spirit move among us today, bringing comfort to those who are hurting, strength to those who are struggling, hope to those who feel discouraged, and peace to those carrying heavy burdens.
Bless our minister, our elders, our leaders, and all those who serve faithfully in our church. Give them wisdom, patience, and renewed energy as they respond to the needs of our congregation and community.
Father, we remember those who are sick, those who are grieving the loss of loved ones, those who are lonely, and those who quietly struggle with challenges that others may never see. Surround them with Your love, and help us to be Your hands and feet, offering kindness, encouragement, and practical support.
We pray for our outreach ministries at MacNab—for those who serve our neighbours in need, those who work for peace, and those who offer friendship and compassion to people who may feel forgotten. May every act of service reflect the love of Jesus Christ.
Lord, unite us as one church family. Help us to look beyond our differences, to forgive one another, and to welcome all who come through our doors. Remind us that the church is not simply a building, but a community of people called to love and serve You.
As we worship today, open our hearts to Your Word. Renew our faith, deepen our love, and send us out into the coming week ready to share Your goodness with everyone we meet.
