Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of this new Monday and the beginning of another week. Thank You for the breath in our lungs, the opportunities before us, and the assurance that Your presence goes with us into every day.

Your Word tells us in John 8:32 (GNB):

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Lord, as this new week begins, help us to live in the freedom that comes from knowing You. Free us from yesterday’s worries, regrets, and disappointments. Give us the courage to leave the past in Your hands and step into this new week with faith and expectation.

Guide our thoughts, our words, and our decisions. Give us patience when things don’t go as planned, compassion toward those we meet, and eyes to recognize the blessings You place along our path.

May this week be a week of renewed faith, fresh opportunities, meaningful relationships, and a deeper awareness of Your love.

Thank You, Father, for a new week. We receive it as a gift from You. Walk with us through every moment and help us to make each day count for Your glory.

In Jesus name

Amen

On Sunday we pray for the congregation at MacNab ......

Gracious and loving God,

on this Sunday morning we gather as Your people, grateful for the gift of another day and for the privilege of coming together as the family of MacNab.

Lord, meet each person who enters our doors today. Some come with joy in their hearts; others carry burdens that no one else can see. Some are filled with hope, while others may be searching for even a small glimmer of it. Remind us that none of us walks alone. You are with us in every season.

Fill our congregation with Your Holy Spirit. Open our hearts to Your Word, our minds to Your wisdom, and our lives to Your calling. Help us not simply to worship You within these walls, but to carry Your love, compassion, and peace into our homes, our workplaces, our neighbourhoods, and our community.

Bless those who are hurting, those who are grieving, those who are lonely, those who are sick, and those who are struggling to find their way. Give them strength for today and the assurance that tomorrow rests safely in Your hands.

And Lord, make MacNab a place where people encounter Jesus—not merely through our words, but through the way we love one another. Give us generous hearts, willing hands, listening ears, and courageous spirits.

As we worship today, remind us of the promise that wherever two or three gather in Your name, You are there among us.

Come, Holy Spirit. Fill us. Guide us. Use us.

May everything we do today bring glory to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour,

Amen.

On Saturdays we pray for the previous week ...

Heavenly Father,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

As this week comes to an end, I pause and look back over all that has happened. Thank You for walking with me through every day—for the moments of joy, the opportunities to serve, the people You placed in my path, and even the difficult moments that stretched my faith.

Thank You for the times I recognized Your presence, and forgive me for the times I rushed ahead without listening for Your voice. Thank You for the work You allowed me to do, for the words You gave me to share, and for every small opportunity to bring encouragement, kindness, and hope to someone else.

Lord Jesus, take everything from this past week—the successes and disappointments, the conversations and silences, the things I got right and the things I wish I had done differently—and place them in Your hands.

“I am sure that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 (GNB)

Holy Spirit, prepare my heart for the week ahead. Help me not simply to ask, “What do I want to accomplish?” but instead, “Where are You leading me?” Give me eyes to see the opportunities You place before me and courage to follow wherever You call.

Tonight, give me rest. Quiet my mind, renew my spirit, and remind me that I do not have to carry tomorrow today.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thank You for this past week. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You that through everything, I have never walked alone.

Amen. 🙏

On Friday we pray for the community around MacNab .....

Gracious God,

On this Friday, we lift before You the community surrounding MacNab—our neighbours, families, businesses, schools, seniors, those who are struggling, and those who feel forgotten or alone.

Lord, make MacNab a place where Your love is seen, heard, and felt beyond the walls of our church. Open our eyes to the needs around us. Help us notice the person who needs a meal, a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply someone to say, “You matter.”

Bless those in our community who are experiencing homelessness, poverty, loneliness, illness, grief, addiction, or uncertainty. Give them hope and surround them with people who will walk alongside them with dignity and compassion.

Bless our neighbourhood leaders, community workers, police, firefighters, teachers, health-care workers, and all who serve others each day. Give them wisdom, strength, patience, and courage.

And Lord, show us what part You want us to play. Don't let us simply pray about the needs around us—give us willing hearts and willing hands to become part of Your answer.

May MacNab be a beacon of hope, welcome, compassion, and grace in this community. Let people encounter not merely a church building, but the living presence of Jesus through His people.

Holy Spirit, lead us today. Show us where You need us, whom You want us to notice, and what You want us to do.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

On Thursdays we pray for peace ...

Heavenly Father,

On this Thursday morning, we come before You with heavy hearts for our war-torn world.
We think of families who are frightened, homes that have been destroyed, children who have known too much fear, and people who simply long to live in peace.

Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, enter the places where there is hatred, violence and division.
Soften the hearts of those who choose war. Give wisdom to leaders and courage to those working for peace. May negotiations replace weapons, compassion replace hatred, and reconciliation replace revenge.

Protect those who are innocent and vulnerable.

Comfort those who have lost loved ones.

Strengthen those who are providing food, shelter, medical care and hope.

Holy Spirit, move across our world in ways we cannot see.

Where there is darkness, bring light.
Where there is despair, bring hope.
Where there is hatred, plant love.
Where there is conflict, begin the work of reconciliation.

And Father, remind us that peace is not only something we pray for out there. Begin with us. Help us speak peacefully, forgive readily, listen carefully and treat every person as someone created and loved by You.

“May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace!”
— Psalm 29:11 (GNB)

Father, may Your peace flow across every border, into every home, and into every wounded heart.
Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
our Saviour and our Prince of Peace.
Amen. 🙏🕊️
