ANNOUNCEMENTS for May 31,
Feast of the Holy Trinity
* The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In honouring the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we celebrate Gods boundless, passionate love and mercy for humanity personified by. Jesus Himself, God and Man.
* Bishop Dabrowski has written a pastoral letter, to be read by Father Lajos at today’s Mass, in order to prepare the faithful spiritually to enter more fully into the month of June, traditionally dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On our Diocesan website (www.hamiltondiocese.com/sacredheart) you will find additional resources to assist you in promoting devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
* Let us pray for all those couples who will celebrate their 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th or 60 plus anniversary at the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass today, May 31st, that their celebration of the Eucharist with Bishop Dabrowski will nourish their love and strengthen their continued commitment to each other.
* The Knights of Columbus of All Souls Parish will be coming to our church next Sunday, June 7th, to sell “Roses for Life” mini roses after Mass, supporting the Pro-Life movement in its fight to protect the lives of unborn babies.
* A Corpus Christi Procession will leave St. Ann’s church (Barton and Sherman Ave.) on Sunday, June 7th at 1:00 pm, proceed along Barton St, finishing at All Souls Church around 2:00 pm. The procession will arrive at our church at approximately 1:30 p.m. for prayers and Hungarian hymns praising the Blessed Sacrament. Upon arriving at All Souls Church, the faithful will take part in a benediction, followed by a potluck reception in the church hall. All are welcome.
* Last weekend, our scouts and their leaders took part in a scout skill competition in the Hungarian scout park in New York state, with the participation of patrols from several cities. It was a memorable weekend, not only because of the cold, windy, wet, and muddy conditions, but also because of the positive and enthusiastic scouting spirit and a “job well done”. In fact, a second place finish on the proficiency course for the oldest age group was achieved by the girl patrol from Hamilton, the Páva patrol (the Peacocks). We congratulate them for this success! We are proud of all those who took part in this traditional event.
