The resurrection is not abstract theology. It is your future.

In a world that mocks truth, dismisses eternity, and lives for the moment, Scripture calls us to a reasonable faith in a risen Christ.

Because if Christ is not raised, Christianity collapses.

No Pentecost
No gospel.
No salvation.
No church.
No hope.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead.

And because He lives, our faith is not in vain, our suffering is not meaningless, our labour is not wasted, and death itself will not have the final word.

This resurrection hope changes everything our worship, our holiness, our mission, our suffering, our parenting, and our witness.

This "Pentecost Sunday" at 10:30 am (350 Albright Rd) Pastor Ian continues the "No Compromise!" series with :

"A Reasonable Faith in a Risen Christ" - 1 Cor 15:12-34

Our 1 pm service will be a prayer service held at our new property located at 16-20 Eastwood St, where we will consider, "Letting Our Light Shine Before A Watching World." - Lord’s Day 47.

We will still have lunch between services!

Our morning service will be available to stream online at www.mercychurch.ca

We hope to see you there!

In a world tempted to loosen its grip on truth, Paul reminds the church of what is “of first importance”:

Christ died for our sins.
Christ was buried.
Christ rose again.

The resurrection is not myth, sentiment, or wishful thinking. It is the foundation of the Christian faith, the backbone of the gospel, and the hope of every believer.

No matter what society may present as “reality” or “truth,” the church must remain steadfast.

The church must never outgrow the gospel.

“The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

This Sunday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Ian returns to the No Compromise series with a look at 1 Corinthians 15:1-11: “The Church Must Never Outgrow the Gospel”

Pastor Greg Davidson leads our 1:00 p.m. service with:

“Alive, Made New by the Spirit” Acts 2:1-13

Catch both services at 350 Albright Rd. or online at www.mercychurch.ca

Our lunch buffet follows the morning service!

Imagine your name becoming synonymous with doubt.

It’s easy to criticize Thomas for struggling to believe that the man standing before him was truly Jesus

But is that really fair?
After all, how many dead people have you known to appear a few days later alive and well?

Yet when Jesus shows up, doubt doesn’t get the final word.

Through the wounds of the risen Christ, Jesus meets fearful and doubting people with forgiveness, peace, and life.

So go easy on Thomas.

Instead, look to the risen Jesus and confess with him:

“My Lord and my God!”

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM as we follow Thomas’s journey from skepticism to worship in John 20:24-31, as Pastor Bill DeJong concludes his three-part sermon series:

“When Jesus Shows Up - To Thomas in Doubt”

Pastor Ian will lead our 1 PM service with:
“Babies of Believers: Baptize or Dedicate?” (Lord’s Day 27, Q&A 74)

Location: 350 Albright Rd
Watch online at www.mercychurch.ca

Lunch will be available between services!

We hope to see you there.

Mercy Has a Home!

Proverbs 24:3–4
“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

Today at 3 PM, Mercy Christian Church officially received the keys to a property in McQuesten where, the Lord willing, our future building will rise.

What once felt like overwhelming obstacles just months ago have steadily fallen away. In His grace, the Lord has provided a home for Mercy.

Right in the heart of the McQuesten neighbourhood, exactly where He has called us to serve.

Right beside the sports park where we have been running our Tuesday sports night for years!

There’s still a long road ahead before the full vision becomes reality, but today marks a major milestone in Mercy’s story.

May God use this property and this body of believers powerfully in McQuesten for generations to come.

Praise the Lord!

Their Saviour, leader, and friend had been crucified.

Jesus was dead.

Hiding behind locked doors, gripped by fear, the disciples’ world is shaken again as Jesus suddenly stands among them, alive.

Their fear turns to peace as He commissions them to go and share the good news.

That same commission is now ours.

Sent as Jesus was sent, we join God’s unfolding rescue mission, empowered by His peace, His Spirit, and the promise of forgiveness.

God brings healing and redemption through ordinary people….people like you and me.

Last Sunday, we stood on the road to Jerusalem, hearing the cries of “Hosanna!” and longing for a King.

But the story didn’t unfold the way anyone expected.

No golden crown.
No earthly throne.
No triumphant coronation.

Instead....
Thorns.
A cross.
A tomb.

But the story doesn’t end there.....

This Easter Sunday morning, we turn to Matthew 28, and everything changes.

The ground shakes!
The stone rolls away!
Death is defeated!
The King who was mocked now stands vindicated.

The King who was crucified now stands alive.

The King who wore the curse now wears the crown.

This is not just resurrection, it’s coronation.

The coronation of King Jesus!

Join us at 10:30 am at 350 Albright Rd or online at www.mercychurch.ca as Pastor Ian concludes the Holy Week sermon series with:

"The Crown Of Glory" (Matthew 28:1-20)

"When Faith Feels Fragile: Jesus Meets Thomas."
