We had a great Baptism Sunday! It was amazing to see two people take the step of baptism this week, sharing the wonderful testimony of God's work in their lives.

On October 25, we will welcome Pastor Neil Sawatsky for our annual Prophecy Sunday. Expect to be challenged as he brings context to current and future events through the lens of God's Word. Join us at 10:15, 11:00, and 1:00!

We celebrated 30 years of God's goodness with our special "Thankful for 30" service and banquet on Thanksgiving Sunday.

Our guest speaker was the founding pastor of Steel City Baptist Church, Marvin Massecar, who challenged us to take a moment from our busy lives to remember just how good God has been to us. We also welcomed the Northern Hope Quartet from FaithWay Baptist College of Canada, who provided the special music for the day.

It was a wonderful time remembering the amazing things that we have seen God do in the past 30 years, and looking forward to see what He has in store for the next 30!

We're so thankful to have the opportunity to make an impact on the next generation!

Each week at Steel City Baptist Church, our nursery and Jr. Church programs provide kids with safe spaces where they can learn and grow at their own level. Upstairs, their parents can focus on the sermon with limited distractions, enjoying the peace of mind that their children are having fun and learning truths from God's Word.

Ask someone about our kids programs this week!

On Thanksgiving Sunday (October 11), you're invited to join us for "Thankful for Thirty", a celebration of Steel City Baptist Church's 30th anniversary! We had an amazing Sunday at Steel City Baptist Church! Pastor Eagles challenged us from I Timothy 4:12 about how we need to "Be an Example", so that if others imitate our life, our example will lead them to be more like Christ.

Our annual Ladies Luncheon is just days away! We are thrilled to welcome Jacinda King from Golden Harvest Baptist Church as our guest speaker. It will be a wonderful time of fellowship and enrichment! Doors open at 9:30 am this Saturday!

We're back to the busy schedule that comes with back-to-school, and Pastor Eagles preached a timely message this Sunday. He encouraged us to ensure that no matter how busy we may get, that we take the time to make sure we're living lives that reflect Christ and His holiness.

Our annual Ladies Luncheon will be held Saturday, September 26. If you would like to attend but haven't signed up yet, you can do so here: https://steelcitychurch.ca/ladies-lunch

We've reached the final stage of our "Building Blocks of the Disciple" study series on Sunday afternoons, and have kicked off a sub-series called "Make Disciples". This week we learned how the natural outgrowth of following Christ is wanting others to know Jesus as well.

We hope that these practical tips will help you as you seek to have an influence in the lives of others, and share with them the good news of God's love.

Our Sunday afternoon service is each week at 1:00 pm. We'd love to have you join us as we learn and grow together!

We held our second annual Celebrate Africa Sunday this week! In the past few years, we've had many new members join whose journey began in Africa, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to share their cultures and testimonies with us.

Sunday was a wonderful time of learning about Africa and also learning from God's Word! Continuing in I Timothy, we were challenged about the personal responsibility that each of us has to uphold God's truth in the church.

We are just about halfway through the book of I Timothy in our Sunday morning sermon series! Each week, we're looking at the blueprint the Bible has laid out for how the church is supposed to operate, effectively showing the love of Christ to our community. Join us Sundays at 11 am as we look at this fascinating topic together!

"God's plan is not always easy, but it is always right."

This was part of Pastor Eagles' challenge on Sunday afternoon as he continued his series about finding God's specific plan for our lives.

If you missed it, you can catch up on our YouTube channel! Sunday afternoon's sermon is part of our "Building Blocks of the Disciple" series, which is available for rewatch there.
